December 2nd 2021 I found my Dad in his recliner. I was expected something as we had just talked with hospice. Lung cancer not diagnosed or treated because of this Pandemic is what got him. Now nearly 5 months on. The Depressed part of my Bipolar keeps me down. The grief is really kicking my butt. Only upside is that I'm keeping up with the meds. Also I have managed to stay out of the hospital. I sure need a break from this down period.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Working and the structure of work helped me over my sister's death.
Writing in a journal may help. Times when your alone hit hard for me. If you have people who you be with at this time of grief it may help. They have bereavement groups at funeral homes and religious organizations.

To me, my Dad has never gone but remains with me and my family. As long as we remember our loved ones, and maintain the love in our hearts, they will always be with us to watch over us. Death is just a transition from the physical to the metaphysical, and the soul still remain alive and vibrant as ever.
Perhaps you can ask your doctor for a prescription of anti-depressants to help you to cope with the depression. Time will heal all wounds. Take care, and best wishes.
What I do is to try to keep my mind off of things like this or problems, so I keep busy. If I am home, idle, I'll think about it all the time. Try to keep busy or distract yourself in some way. Yes give yourself some time to grieve, but you must keep moving forward. Maybe now that things opened up a bit, you can find an in-person support group so you can let out your feelings. Again, I am sorry for your loss.
