Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I feel guilty about being sad.
I don't know why I'm sad; I often don't have a reason. It makes no sense. The slightest shift in brain chemistry can trigger it. Maybe I'm just been too tired for too long. Or some minor thing happens that sends me into a spiral.
But realistically....my life is not that bad. Boring, ok....lonely sure ...but not bad. Not now anyway.

You feel guilty asking for support might because our society tell us that we should be stronght and independent.
You do t need a significant loss to be dressed or reason. I don’t think comparing is good because you are on your path and your reasons aren’t mine or same with what helps. There is always people better and worse off. Doesn’t mean your struggles should not matter or aren’t significant.
