Recently I have found myself in a difficult situation in my life. I got into some trouble and will be suffering the consequences of my actions. I have felt more Nd more alienated by my mother. No longer does she care to listen to me. Everything I say is wrong. I'm not asking for her to fix my life, but I just want her there as my mom. That's all I've ever wanted. Never in my life have I felt I could go to her and ask for advice. She's 64 and I want to have a good relationship with her before either of our lives end. Especially now this is hard. I feel so alone and have been feeling more and more depressed. Nothing makes me happy anymore. All I want to do is never go outside again. I began feeling this way right before I was in the hospital for a severe allergic reaction to a medication I was on. After that incident, I have felt worse and worse emotionally. I almost died and it was like she didn't give two craps about me. I had to drive myself to the hospital. She seemed annoyed when I had to ask her to drive me home because the hospital would not let me drive. It seems like since the hospital visit, I just stopped caring about me. Thus, I wind up in the current situation I'm in. Maybe I'm bitter?

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

I remember my mom tactfully criticizing my ex-wife, b/c anytime she talked to my mom she was complaining about something or discussing a problem. My mom was like, "don't have anything good to talk about ?"
That's just a thought. & again, I agree with you that she should be more supportive of your struggles.
