I am having to move out of my apt on Saturday and I will be living in my car. I live in Las Vegas and the temp outside is 110, it's going to be torture to live in my car. I have been praying for death for years and years. I can't go on anymore. I will have to take my next paycheck and buy a gun. It's the only way out of this hell I live in. I tried going to a shelter the last time I was homeless, and they wouldn't take me. I have tried going to the hospital and they were very unkind. They cared more about how I was going to pay for it than they did about helping me. I can't work anymore. I am too sick. I have been saying this for a long time. And I am finally done. I could use my last paycheck to buy a few weeks worth of gas for the car and then be living on the street. Or I could buy a gun and end it. I have to get up the guts to buy the gun, Life is pure torture.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

Do you have any Friends or Family or Children? Just wondering.
Where did I use the word "options" because I am looking and I don't see that i ever used that word in the posts to heretic.
I would NEVER make a "throw away" comment to anyone and especially when it involves suicide.
I take it VERY seriously when someone talks about suicide. I take it seriously every single time and I will try to do whatever is in my power to let the person know that there is always a chance that things can get better.
I am not going to debate you. This is about heretic. But please don't accuse me of saying something that I did not say.
I am very hurt and insulted by your accusation and your post.
I am trying to help someone and we are all in a very limited capacity here.
It seems to me that you used the same word as me "resources" and I don't understand why you would accuse me of something that is not true.
Re-read your post that is directed to me. It is very hurtful.
I am trying to help someone just like you are.
I sent you a message. Just wanted to let you know.

Buying a gun and using it is not the answer. I have had friends commit suicide, 2 classmates after high school and my neighbor 3 houses down from me. I found my neighbor, it was not a pretty sight.
I don't know your circumstances, other than what you have shared but, death is not the answer. I lost my 37 yr. old son in 2005 in a car wreck. His death day is coming up July 6th. This continues to bother me yet today.
If I remember correctly, you are not a believer or have much faith in any religion. If I am wrong, forgive me but, if you aren't a believer, ,maybe you should give this some thought. Those of us who believe in God, Jesus, Heaven, Judgment and Hell have nothing to lose if we die and our belief is not true, Those who die and do not believe in these things, lose everything and suffer the consequences which are much worse than anything here on earth. I hope you can get the help you need and I am by no means judging you. I just want you to consider all options, explore them to the fullest before you would consider taking your own life. I care, that's why I commented. Life is precious and I am much older than you are.
This is my first post on here. Please keep reaching out for help. It's easy to just give up, but it takes courage to keep fighting. And, just opening up on here takes quite a bit of courage. I've been reading posts on this site for a couple of weeks now, and there are many people who do care. I hope that gives you some comfort. It does for me.
Oldbiker,
I am sorry for your loss. We lost my brother to a car crash in 1979. He was only 17, and my only sibling. I still have my parents, but every holiday, birthday, and the day that he died are still very difficult for us. I miss him very much, but take comfort in knowing he will live in my heart forever.
I wish people wanted peace for me, and freedom from the hell I live in,
I don't believe God punishes people after they die. There would be no point to that.
I appreciate that people wish my life was better than it is, but it's not.
Life is not going to get any better for me. I really want it to be over.
I answered your message to me and sent you another message back. I meant what I said in my message to you. Please let me know what you think okay? You know I care, and everyone that has posted on here, cares. They would not be responding if they didn't. Please friends, don't find fault in each others posts to Heretic. That is only going to make Heretic feel bad. Each and every one of you wants to help and I know you all must feel as hopeless as I do that we can't just fix everything. I know Heretic feels loved and cared about here and I also know she appreciates everyone for their concern. And Heretic, we are not going to give up on helping you because we DO CARE, so very much. Lots of love and hugs Gramybear
I sent you another message too. We can find you a local resource to get you some kind of temporary housing. Would you be open to that idea? Please let me know. I would even call for you if you don't want to call yourself. If you don't want that then I will respect that too. Please reply to me when you can and we can go from there.
We want to help you. {{{HUGS}}}
Please don't give up!!! I don't know what else to do or say to help you.
THE SHADE TREE--(702) 385-0072
Things can get better, there are people out there who want to help. Please give life one more chance!
The woman who answered was very friendly and after I explained your situation she said they ahve room, but you have to call and then come in for an intake interview. It's on a first come, first serve basis and she advised to come down as soon as possible.
She said RESCUE MISSION is also taking people in, but their intake hours are end at 3 PM. You could call there first thing in the morning or go to the Shade Tree tomorrow morning. They have phone service 24 hours a day.\
Please don't give up. If I was there in town, I would drive you over there myself. Please don't turn down this opportunity.
