Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Here is also an idea. People list what they've taken in their profiles and some thoughts about how they worked for them. Maybe you can search around and read some of those. It's usually on the right hand side under their GROUPS listing.
It's important for us all to remember that we are all NUTS :P Seriously its important to remember that we all have mental illness, some more than others. If someone is in a particular phase sometimes we have to just block them out, ignore, delete messages.
Besides, nothing is ever what it seems. I've just remembered being so confused in the past by the enmity people have felt towards certain members while others have taken the completely opposite view. Most of the time I never really find out why, but to me It just proves that each and every situation is far too complex for anyone to judge definitively.
Of course I know its easier said than done. Its much harder to keep a cool head when your friends and your emotions are caught up in the situation.
It's like the threads I see posted now and then and I'm paraphrasing 'People need to stop being mean on here' well, mean would need to be defined. Which people are these offending people? One side, other side. There are threads started for whatever the reason and sometimes that's a personal situation between people. Should they vent? Should anyone react? Man oh man, the situation is getting harder and harder to judge here. What if I don't react the 'right' way? We're only people and we can only react the way we do.
