Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
big deal
Just want to point out that you are attacking poeple who have been temporarily (and some would argue CONVENIENTLY) reported and temporarily banned---they're NOT HERE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES!!!!! THEY cannot answer your inquiries or need for more info. And I can't do it, because it's secondhand to me.
So, what are you seriously accomplishing?
Arguing a legless argument, because it suits your mood at present----making it seem as if these people are unprincipled and unfeeling, when in fact the reverse is the case!---as their aim was to protect people from someone they KNOW is basically problematic member, if not 10x worse.
I suggest you take this up with your consciences. I'm not replying anymore.
Secondly, we are all "problematic".
Thirdly, I'm not going to watch another member get ganged up on. I'm sorry. That's just not going to happen. ZAZAS said it best. "There is a difference in telling the truth and attacking someone. And, there are time when the entire conversation is blown wayyyyyyyy out of control."
Fourth, people are not replying because it makes them feel like crapolla, and that is not why they are here. They are hear to benefit their health and well being, not settle debates between members. (I, myself, am just able to see it objectively ATM.)
The "lies" were never proven. They were suspicions. And if they are proven, all you have to do is avoid/ignore that person. Putting someone on ignore really does help and work. There will always be that kind of situation. Those situations never go away, no matter if you've been here 3 days or 3 years.
And, if people are going to form opinoins about you based on what someone else says, then you don't need them. People are most likely going to trust what they see you do. Anger brings out the worst in us, and that's what people will see and know, not what someone says about you.
Who's got nice pot???
SHARE :P
I'm sorry. I do not know your situation. I don't know what you are considering to be "attacking". But, I do know that most of us are going to recommend speaking to a professional, because this place is not meant to be the only source of therapy.
If you get angry at the type of advice someone gives you, ignore them. That's the beauty of this site. You take what you can and leave the rest. We are not all going to agree. We are not all going to know the right answers, either.
I'm sorry you struggle with your emotions and that it interferes with your relationships. I am all too familiar with that. I am also familiar with fear of meds. Have you tried DBT?
I DO SEE A THERAPIST!! But I'd like to talk to more than just her about it. Whats the harm of telling me what you take and what it does for you and how you feel?? A therapist cant tell me that, she has NO idea what its like. god this place is nothing but a freakin joke, not a support group!
I think I might know what you are talking about.
There is a thin line with mentioning meds here....ummm....
It's ok to ask "How does it make you feel to take this med." But, try not to ask "Should I take this med? What are the side effects? Should I stop my meds?"....stuff like that.
The reason for this is because we may give you the wrong information and it might be harmful to you, since we are not trained professionals.
There is NOTHING wrong with asking how someone feels on a med. There is NOTHING wrong with listening to other people's experiences. But, in order for you to know what it will do for YOU, you're going to have to try it. Because MEDS AFFECT EVERYONE DIFFERENT. (not yelling, just emphasizing.)
I think what you are saying is ok. My only concern would be if you heard some negative things about a med that might benefit you, since they do affect everyone differently.
