he is a singer and guitar player. so put the two together. he is shy though so think he might kill me if i applied for him though. everyone thinks he is amazing but he doesnt believe it unfortantly.

Kevin was not great. He was average-ish. Barbara was phenominal in comparison. Heck, even some of the audition tapes for American Idol that DON'T make it are better singers. The producers capitalized on the backstory, not the talent. Unfortunately, they did a lot of that this year.

You know what. Apparently America still has compassion and would like someone who has struggled all their lives to have their dream come true. I am glad he won. When he sings the right songs he can sing. So I say YEAH!!!!

I have a lot of compassion slrow.. But talent is not based on your history or your story.. I felt bad for him but he didnt have the talent to be a performer in Vegas.. I was very moved by his talent and as an *aspiring* young singer and family man, I felt for him.. But can you really tell me he had the most talent in that show?

Thats what I am saying.. A lot of us have our sad stories but could we really win a talent contest.. ????

It's not "america's got sympathy". They should not have capitalized on the back story of anyone. All we heard all season was the story of hardship. Sucks, but that's not talent.

If you were in Vegas for the first time ever and got the chance to see any show, would you really go see him? Would you pick him over Celine Dion, Cirque du Soleil, or some mind-blowing magic show? I sure wouldn't.

I wouldn't buy a record from him. That song he did "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" was very missable as most of the time he was flat off pitch. His guotar skills are average. I have heard better singing in the local coffeeshop open mikes.

The most talented person there imo was the little girl who sang with Voices of Glory. If she didn't have her brothers backing her and her songs were placed in a better key for her voice, she would have done so much better.

I think the drummers should have probably won it. The talent this year really wasn't all that great.

Completely agree on the "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" performance, Mia. It was pitchy as heck. Watching it back more and more, it's just not good.
