My depression is getting worse and the only way I see out is suicide. I can't take this anymore and no one believes me when I tell them. So why not just leave they will never know or care...

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...

I even saw this in the ER. I was treated like a pariah. For countless hours, nobody spoke to me. "He's just a sad man going through a rough time." Nothing more.
Unfortunately, I think it takes one to know one. You either believe there are things in life worse than death or you don't. There's the great divide.
I survived three bona fide attempts across three days. Yeah, I sincerely wanted to die. But I didn't. Two boxes of sleeping pills didn't kill me, one containing twenty-four, and the other containing forty-eight, including copious amounts of alcohol. Day one was a mixture of 9 mg of Xanax, sleeping pills, and alcohol. The proceeding day is a black spot -- like being roofied. Not fun.
I spent four days and three nights in a community based clinic. Scary and also not fun.
I am a changed person. I choose to live life. Yeah, there's tons of bullshit but I see it for what it is: games. I'm a full blown functional drunk -- better than being dead, I suppose. I choose to live life and go on adventures. I can't say I've hit rock bottom, but I take pleasure in the little things. Life isn't so bad. The paintings in the frames of the house burning down are beautiful. There is beauty within the dark.
Every moment has become precious and my own. Choose to live life. Live for nobody else for you. The meaning of live is whatever you want your life to mean. It is your own special little gift. Given to you by whom? Does it matter? It is yours to do with what you see fit.
If you feel you really are in danger of taking your own life, take yourself to the local ER and check yourself into the voluntary psych ward, Being suicidal is grounds for admittance to the psych ward, and that is the usual treatment for suicidal thoughts. There they can rediagnose you, work out your meds, and get you into an outpatient aftercare hopefully that can help you to pick up the pieces.
It may seem hard now. But then I think back to all of the times I was suicidal before and how it's gotten so much better since and I know it was for the best that I stayed alive.
anyways if you or anyone ever feels the need to talk just drop a line i usually respond objectively and try to listen to everyone to see if through listening i can further help my own depressions and battle my own demons and isolation.
