I am in a bad situation. Here's the scoop. I started seeing a psychiatric nurse practitioner in 2006. I saw her until my insurance changed and she didn't accept my new insurance. I started seeing another psych nurse practitioner at that point. Then SHE left that clinic and nobody else in that clinic took my insurance. I then called the original np and she said that i could see her again because she had become participating with my new insurance. The catch was that i couldn't see her in the office that i used to come to. I would have to drive to her private practice. This involved a 60 mile round trip. This is a bit of an issue for me because my car is old and gas is expensive. SO..i heard that there were new providers at the other clinic close to my home tgat now accept my insurance. I set up an intake and was REJECTED by both drs...they said they couldn't see me because "they would not be able to meet the level of care i needed". In the meantime....the np i had been seeing found out that i had an intake with the other clinic. She called me up and was super rude and said that she did not appreciate my going behind her back and having the intake. She said she may not be able to keep treating me because i had sought treatment elsewhere. I explained to her the reason WHY i did it and she was still a bitch to me. I don't know what to do. I am scared. What if noone will accept me as a patient???? Wtf will i do???? Thanks for any advice!! :((

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

The present moment can be ruined by worry about things that may never happen, and even if they do, the actual event is almost never as bad as worrying about it.
Last April(2012) I found a new GP that one of my coworkers recommended and I have asked for referrals to an Orthopedist(for my broken hand); then to a sleep study that showed I didn't sleep good and then she referred me to an Otolaryngologists(or ENT) who performed my Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty(or UPPP). Now they are either in on something where they get kick backs to each other OR they are just all on the same personality level. I really like and trust my GP and get along great with all the DRs in the office. I have NEVER trusted any DR up until I met her. This, in turn, allowed me to trust the other DRs that she referred me to.
What I am trying to say here is that if you like and trust your GP...maybe they can refer you to a good therapist/psychiatrist?
