xarelto and very dry skin on face

Has anyone experienced very dry skin while on Xarelto? The skin on my face has completely changed and I am pretty sure


it's from taking Xarelto. I have been working on one problem area that goes from nearly the inside of my eye up to the side of my nose.It has taken me months to get this under control but the dry skin does not go away, it just gets better with lots of moisturizer.I found that pure vaseline has been the most effective after having spent a lot of money on other remedies that did not work. Any ideas?

I do but I don’t think it’s from Xarelto for me. . I’ve been in Xarelto for several years now with no issues; the sensitive dry skin just started for me in the last few months. For me I think it’s menopause related.

Hi,
Thanks for replying. I am 73 years old and I am currently also on two BP meds. Doubtful that those meds are responsible for the severely dry skin on my face. I did some research and found that Xarelto can cause your hair to fall out and also cause dry skin although it is not mentioned as a side affect. I should probably see a dermatologist but I am tired of being in pain from a hip that needs to be replaced and pain from three DVT's over the past 20 years. Somehow I knew that you could be counted on to reply. Thanks again.

I’m not on Xarelto, but I’m on Plavix and Warfarin. I have incredibly dry skin on both of my legs due to poor circulation. I don’t have problems with dry skin as much anywhere else, but one thing to try is Organic Coconut Oil. It really helps moisturize the skin. You can usually find it on the baking aisles in your grocery store.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried everything yet the extremely dry skin is winning. One thing I found that is working well is regular vaseline. Who knew? I have creams and serums, etc. etc. but the $1 tube of vaseline is doing the trick in the area of my eye but I have to keep at it every night and day. The fact is that my skin has changed. I felt a very dry hard spot and scratched at it and my skin fell off the size of a pencil eraser. My next stop will be to go to a dermatologist but I refuse to take an oral medication as I am already on three different meds for BP and prevention of DVT's. As if life hadn't become stressful enough for all of us.

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
