I have a history of dvt and pe also have esophageal cancer and blood thinners make the tumors bleed so they put in an ivc filter. For the last week my left lower leg and ankle/foot has been swelling. Does anyone else have a similar experience or maybe any advice. I don’t know why i have the swelling and really don’t know what to do about it either besides elevate it thanks

How long ago was your last dvt? I still get periodic swellling in my foot and ankle in my dvt leg. I also have mild PTS from my dvt so I get calf heaviness and discomfort. My dvt was in 2007.

I had dvt in july but had a scan recently that showed there is another dvt in same leg.
