Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Support Group
Deep-vein thrombosis, also known as deep-venous thrombosis or DVT, is the formation of a blood clot ("thrombus") in a deep vein. It can be caused by something preventing blood from circulating or clotting normally. Join the support group if you are coping with DVT and find others who are going through the same challenges.
I has very few side effects from warfarin, mostly just some hair thinning, but new growth started after goin of warfarin. If you are having side effects that are troubling, mention it to your doc. Maybe there's another anticoagulant to try.
Sorry you've been through so much. Fortunately your clot was diagnosed so if there's a silver lining, that would be it. Hang in there!
I've been on warfarin for years and it can be a little dicey to dial in the correct dosage. Don't stress too much about the dietary stuff. If you eat salad every day, keep doing that. They can adjust your dose to match your life---it shouldn't have to be the other way around.
Not sure what side effects you're having ... I haven't really had any. Sometimes the fillers and dyes in the pills can cause side effects, so that might be worth considering. Your doc can switch you to generic from branch name or vice versa and maybe you'll get some relief that way.
Good luck!
