Are you saying that taking the regular shot can give us the pig flu or at least implied increase the chance of this? That makes sense since the flu shot does reduce the immunity for new problems.

Lost, well the article implies just Canada said this and tested. It is very annoying to me that they do this at the last second every year so people don't know what to do. And as always we have learned not to trust what anyone says lately.

Well, the H1N1 absolutely terrifies me because my immune system is badly compromised. I get the regular flu shot tomorrow and probably the beginning of November, the other one..:)

You hear so much controversy who knows who and what to believe anymore. My opinion is they are doing research in such a short period of time they really don't know any more than we do.

If they did as little research on 'Supplements' which are Vitamins, the Government in USA and Canada would not allow them to be sold.

You are probably right, Vernon. I wish they WOULD do more research on vitamins and minterals.

I have heard about the research they have been doing with the H1N1 for about a year and a half here in Canada. I dont know about there in the states.. but I will ask my doctor about it today. :)

As far as supplements where have you people been? They tried last year or the year before to take them away and off the counters. Fot awhile you couldn't find much of anything. Mostlt due to all the informercials saying what wonders their pills cured. That is BS but they took a hard hit due to that.

The 'experts' have tried to take away Vitamins away from people since they want to make you have a doc approval and this is totally wrong which could have happen at least twice, more Americans don't trust the drugs and nearly as much they don't trust the doctors and what they will charge for there 'services'. I have a problem with a lot of commercials for Vitamins, but they have some good ones, but most only help out something while the person is working to get better, but they aren't supposed to say it cures no way no how. I like the Cinnamon and Chromium which many docs and nurses are realizing they are very helpful for those who have diabetics. Research is not the same as what you heard, the FDA is making sure its made the way they want it to be made, but they don't find out what effects it has, and they do lousy help with the drugs. My Calcium levels went from Lo to very good level, I saw the numbers and they are good and this is crucial. I ran out of the pill for my health like blood pressure, and I am having the pain again, but I will get more when I can, they aren't cheap, but I need to. My dad thinks the Vitamins are a waist of money so he don't pay for them, which is okay with me.

Again I ask you, aren't you on Medicade? They should pay for your medications. You can't just stop taking blood Pressure medicine unless I misunderstood and you mean you are out of calcium.

I am on Medicaid and they pay for the drugs although I do pay for the C0-pay for them and I have a drug store, and I am on them and my blood pressure was 180/100-110 and now it was 110/60 to 120/80 on the Vitamins when I had them and that's much better and I hope to get back to it in November again. I meant I was out of Ubiqinol and L-Carnitin which are Vitamins which gave me much better blood pressure. I have plenty of the drugs and they do help some and yet I am still concerned about the problems at this time. I was using the other Vitamins at another company, but this Vitamin is cheaper now, in New York. I will run out of Calcium and I will get more of them in November so I can take plenty of them at that time. I hope this helped you since I was in more details this time, I thought I mentioned Medicaid, I didn't see it so I am sorry if I didn't say sooner. Just to make sure I have been complete, I am taking seven drugs in the morning and four were RX five drugs in the afternoon and four RX drugs too. Aspirin is a drug and not an RX, so you know what I mean.

Goldi - why do you want research to be done on supplement and vitamins ? No 2 people react the same way to a drug or vitamin so what research are we talking about.

I know practically no person here will agree with me but I do not believe in supplements. Most of what we eat have enough vitamins to sustain us. Unless a doctor tells you you are lacking in something just eat right and you'll get enough. I know someone with Crones disease has to take Vit B-12 but they get it in injection form. I tried fish oil for a while and it raised my BS so now I just eat fish.

You might not 'believe in Vitamins, I don't believe in Drugs.

I'm a bit afraid of taking the H1N1 shot. You really never know how it will affect people. Look at people who have gotten MS or their child has developed autism over vaccinations. Scarey stuff.

Kristy, that is what we were mentioning. The way they test everything else for years it seems strange when faced with this every year they rush and push something out that they just aren't quite sure of. If I had kids now I would be very upset for them let alone us.
