Starbright - I commented on your thread how to do that. They DO need an option to clear them all at once. Maybe that will happen someday.

My notifications were not working at all since the introduction. Then for a few recent weeks things were perfect. I was getting what I wanted and not getting what I did not want. Now its all messed up again this week.

Is this an intermittent problem? Did you do something else that stopped it from working correctly again? All my boxes are checked correctly, have been. My browser is updated, my cache cleared on all devices.

I came here to complain about this very issue. I think I complained about it before, when they stopped letting you opt out of notifications for groups, journals, etc etc.

I used to have my groups set so the only one I got notifications for, was the member group I run. I used to visit other groups, but I didn’t need every member group I am in clogging up my notifications. I forget when that was!

I got no response., Now, I am even more frustrated. I’ve been very busy finishing a 2nd year college German course, not doing internet anything much. So, I come here and I can have 50-100 notifications.

But, what drives me batty, is that I can scroll down, and scroll down, and on and on, and then when I close up the notifications - ooops! My bad! I didn’t go far enough for 3 notifications. Repeat, rinse!

Talk about awkward and clumsy. Plus, everything is mixed together, although a least messages are separate.

By the way, does anyone use hugs anymore? I don’t because I might as well just use a message. I used to love hug books, because it was another way to meet people, and there was NO character limit. I know, I know, I know! Forget the good old days! But here’s the thing, I come here less and less, because this is such a horrible platform.

DS used to be the best support group around, bar none. Sorry, I just miss having a real forum, instead of this stock one, that they keep adjusting. It will NEVER work.

Me, I'm enjoying DS to s point. My biggest problem is that so many have migrated away. Yes, we are having new members added. But, I see no way to find out about these new members any where, like the old format allowed. Oh, my. I guess we need to keep petitioning to get a few things changed.

So, I have given up on DS giving us the option BACK to turn off group notifications, journal notifications etc.

I am deleting groups, and unless I know the person, I am going to start deleting people.

The old DS had one easy page to access everything. Then suddenly, the entire site was a nightmare negotiating. I lost the ability to upgrade someone to Founder, so I have to stay. Now, I am flooded with notifications I don’t want or need.

I am not enjoying DS, Mary. The real DS was destroyed, because most people left. Because this is such a clumsy, generic site, and no hope that it will ever go back to even close to what it once was.

Let me turn of notifications, please!
