Chrome on Windows. Make notification changes, and save ... all looks OK but I am still NOT getting any EMAIL notifications.

I got the error message as well and after a time or two trying it, still getting the message I noticed that the changes had been saved.

I saw that they were saved also. However when I logged in again they had been reversed.

Hmm - try expanding the other sections of the page (such as basic info, privacy settings, etc) to see if any of the fields (such as the email field) have an orange outline around them or there is an error message next to any of the fields.

Tried that - the other sub sections collapse after the error message but opening them up there are no error messages.

I'm only removing the two ticks against notifications of Friend's journal posts.

Despite the error message if I look at the Notifications tab there are no ticks against that item. However when I log off and back in again the ticks reappear.

This is on the latest version of Firefox on Windows 7 64bit.

Using Internet Explorer I get no reaction at all when I hit the Update button.

@acuriousfish @Noomee - Were each of you able to save them finally? We tested across several different browsers including Firefox, Chrome and IE. If you are still unable to save your notification settings, then I am wondering if there is something specific to your user records.

I've sent in screenshots to Jesse. Others have the same issue or I expect they haven't spent so long on looking at this issues. Others in the Cl group have said the same - you might want to look at the thread there.

They are always working on a fix and maybe one day it just might happen. And of course no ETA.

There are not any notifications for me either. I have to go to every group and see what up.

I do believe that the email alert system is b-r-o-k-e-n. Doesn't matter how many times I change and save my choices, ds just ignores them. Sad, but at this point, it seems that the only way to fix this is to create an alter ego and hope for the best.

I've been able to work out that some ISPs appear to have blacklisted DS so while DS may send those e-mails they never arrive.

The notification system is itself broken and I alerted DS & provided them with the evidence a month or so ago.

They are working on it.

If your notifications aren't saving, contact support and be sure to put in your device and browser (with version number, if you have it).

If you have saved notifications, but you are not receiving emails, contact support and let them know. We've had a number of users that were on the "global unsubscribe" list -- meaning that no emails will go out to them. We've had to take them off manually at their request, and then they've reported that they've started receiving emails again.

We have plans to add a resubscribe link to the notifications area for anyone not receiving emails (so that people will be able to click that link instead of contacting support.)

Jam, notification saving is broken. This affects all notifications, both internally to DS and the e-mail ones. As far as I can tell no one is able to change their notifications and as everyone's notification settings where changed people are now getting alot more unwanted notifications.

I sent Jesse screenshots of this 6/2/2018 - I was told it's being fixed - I assumed you were involved on the techical side - is that not the case?

Seperately there is an issue where notications that are set to generate e-mails are not being recieved. By having accounts on different ISPs I have picked up that they never arrive from some ISPs. That is because ISPs blacklist organisations they beleive are spammers to reduce traffic. DS has been blacklisted by a number of ISPs.

How do you delete old notifications??
