You see a therapist by chance? I think it can be really helpful for chronic illness, a way to sort out the business in your head so you can better cope so you don't feel like things are dictating your happiness and ability to live well.
So yeah, definitely address it with your doc or a therapist.
My husband has type 1 diabetes, since childhood, and while it's well controlled and he works hard to stay healthy and fit, it can really mess with his moods, not just when his glucose is too high or too low, but just in general.

My endo is working on adjusting my insulin levels to get my numbers down--which should help. Since getting UC my A1C has been high (last blood test was 8.5). I think the shock of getting UC put my body & emotions in a downward spiral. I was also put on a bland diet for a couple of months & I think I became malnourished as well. The anxiety/depression/fatigue has just been hard to shake.
I also have OCD which doesn't help the situation at all lol
TedRuxpin (love your name, btw...I had a Teddy Ruxbin as a kid), I honestly don't know what else it could be. I had a colonoscopy done & the whole left colon & left half of the upper colon were inflamed. Perhaps I caught it at a time before it got too severe, I don't know. I just know the whole experience was traumatic.
Depression with UC or Crohn's disease isn't predicated on whether or not it's mild, moderate or severe. There is more to it than that.
