i haven't had any symptons of crohn's disease in two years. two different doctors have said they can't see it and they think i was misdiagnosed. i also been constipated for more than a week several times instead of having diarrhea. can people with crohn's have constipation instead of diarrhea?
rmb
You can have constipation with Crohns. Maybe you are just in clinical remission but misdiagnosis is possible. Are you on maintenance medication?
mitzi56
I'm not on any medication at the moment.

Was a biopsy done with the original diagnosis? It is my understanding that the biopsy test is very rarely ever wrong.

@Scott147, yes I did have a biopsy done several times.

I've been constipated all my life even with the Crohn's. I don't get the diarrhoea. But I'd say it's better to treat the constipation than leave it if only because of all the straining. A soft food diet constipates me because there's no fibre.
