Thanks to everyone who uplifted my blue mood with their kind words of encouragement and advice and, I think it's time to hop out of this tub, dry off, and find a new mission, as Peter suggested. Also told the hippo to take a hike .... :-)))
There's precious little I can do about missing my kids and grandbabies except to be eternally grateful and blessed that we are under the same sky. Have told my grandkids that whenever they look at the moon they'll see my face (Nan in the Moon .... lol) winking and smiling at them. And when they shake out their duvets in the morning they'll see all the moon dust I sprinkled over them while they slept.
Then there is Skype! Mostly I can't understand a word the kiddies are saying - besides the Aussie twang, the little chappie has a hole in his smile where his baby teeth got the string-doorknob treatment. And the little girlie is way too fascinated by her own image on the monitor to be interested in blowing kisses. Too cute.
Oh well, I've got a sack of difficult stuff on my shoulders but I'm trying to not allow the weight to buckle my knees. I keep myself busy with crocheting and knitting, most of which has been for my daughter's soon-to-be son, and machine sewing. Have just completed a tote bag for the baby and it's almost filled to bursting point with the cutest bits n bobs. Oh, how I would have loved to have some of today's baby stuff when my kids were tiny tots .... but that's a whole other story!
Must rush off .... ok, shuffle off .....as I've just noticed the time - 7 pm this side and my old hubs is complaining he's all alone, or hungry, don't know which.
You all take care of yourselves. I pray your tomorrows will be better than your yesterdays. And if you ever want to have your own bubble - blubble - party, please don't forget to invite me too - hubs says I'm an expert blower ...... lol
Blessings, hugs and smiles all round. xxx

It is great you are feeling a bit better. I was so glad for skype when I talked to my daughter and little Asher once a week. I am still trying to understand my son in law and they have been married 9 years !! But I can understand HIS parents, and now they have Asher talking like an Aussie. When I mentioned it to Heather she said, well, that is his heritage, he was born there. So it a whole new way of having a relationship with grandkids, sort of like they were missionarys or something,
So if you have been busy crocheting and sewing, that is good, I made several quilts for the baby,
Unwad those panties and keep on going. Those little ones love you and I pray they can come see you soon, when they are older.
Hugs

Yes, isn't Skype wonderful. I was introduced to it several yrs ago when my grandson was stationed in Iraq. It is so awesome to see and talk with family even when there is such a geographic distance between us. We are fortunate to have such technology available right within our homes.
BTW/ Love your description for moon dust.
;)
2 sick doggies still have me worried.
who evers panities are in a wad, i hope that gets resolved.
i need to learn to skype again---used to do it all the time when daughter was in Pa.

I am just beginning to feel some of the isolation that comes with this disease, because of trying to avoid exposure to people with colds, etc. Especially my beloved little great grandchildren that love to come over for sleepovers. It seems they're always catching something from daycare/school. So as grateful as I am that some live near to me, it does come with problems too. All the moms know now to make sure the kids are basically healthy before planning visits. I thrive on their love and kisses, so I can't help but shed a few tears if plans don't work out. I try to be grateful for each and every moment spent with my family and make it last till the next time.
