Sorry to hear you are having problems and if I find anything I will let you know, but I don't see how getting your supplies has anything to do with their audit. I've got to order some more canulas soon so I'll let you know.
Hugs,
Dennis
Lincare charges Medicare over $450. per month. Um????
The delivery man I have now; is very nice. I do have to ask for any supplies. They never offer them. He comes once a week; and brings portable oxygen tanks. My concentrator has not been checked or had a maintenance check in over one year. When I first started with Lincare; they gave me cannulas every visit. They checked my home oxygen concentrator every three months. I know my delivery man is overworked. He usually has two routes and travels many miles. I would guess he works 14 hours or more each day. This part of Oregon is rural; so his route is huge.
Jarca: I always feel that I am treated differently than those that have private insurance. I am on Medicare. I did work 35 years before I became disabled. It feels unfair; but life is not fair. I wish you the best in getting your needs met.
There is NO reason, why an oxygen supplier can tell you they can't help you!!!! It's so freakin' ridiculous!
Make a stink about it, and get the things you need.
I'm so sorry you have to go thru this, for the lousy reason of that they are doing an audit. That has NOTHING to do with you!
Boo
Do you think they are not in the bidding thing that medicare is doing? They probably get a chunk of their money from medicare so they do not need to be treating folks like that. You and that other person need to report those fools. I better quit before I embarrass myself, I have already said my quota of dirty words today....
Hope you get it worked out, that is not right.
Brenda
they suggested i get a new perscription from my dr stating i need the POC because of my back i can't carry all the tanks (in other words a perscription of the truth )
then they said to call lincare & tell them to get me what i need or that i'll change companies.
so tomorrow i will call dr & have him fax lincare a perscription & i'll call them & see what they are going to do about it.
we only show 1 other oxygen place in our phone book & my friend that had that one hated it; so i will find out monday if lincare is going to work with me or not.
i had such a great time last weekend with my son, but if he hadn't been here to pack my extra tanks i couldn't have done all that we did---and i don't dare go overnight anywhere as i used to do because packing up my big concentrator is no longer an option.
so i feel like my summer is passing me by to go do things while lincare plays Audit games.
okay, i got that off my chest!!!!
tomorrrow hopefully i will get some action!
Brenda
They are a multi billion, not million, billion dollar money making machine, google them, really!!
Lucky for me my delivery guy has a heart as do the local office staff so I try not to shoot the messenger when dealing with them.
The original company, Lini just bought them back, a German owned company, the original owner. Hoping they have a heart!!
I have had many issues with them, not enough C tanks to last me a week, no supply of the cannulas I like.........
We have to storm the castle for what we need, I tell them when I know the concentrator needs cleaning and it gets done, when I throw a fit I usually get the cannulas I want.
Am i the only one who calls coorprate to complain?? Could use a little help with some other voices out there, nothing ever changes unless our voices are loud and strong.
Firm, to the point, kill them with kindness and diplomacy with an edge is my MO, not to mention I think they discriminate and am not afraid to tell them so! Filing complaints and taking things to a higher power is always a great option!!
according to medicare, lincare is an approved provider & they do audits yearly at random...so that part is normal.
but according to medicare, the audit shouldn't stop me from getting any equipment that i need, as long as dr has prescribed it, so i should only have to get a dr prescription for the portable air concentrator.
i sure hope dr is in tomorrow as i'm getting a UTI also; geez life is fun LOL

And I have never had a bad delivery driver. The people I have dealt
with from Lincare are all very caring people. Sorry to hear that some
of you are not experiencing the same.
When my CPAP broke they made a special trip up here ( alittle over 20 miles) to make sure I got another one. They go above and beyond!
I started with Apria and OMG, they were the worst. Rude, never returned calls when asked to. When I switched to Lincare I called
Apria and told them to come pick up their equipment. Called them
again a week later....took them 10 days to come and get it. Then they tried to charge me for use of that equipment for the 10 days it
sat here....no way! Not when you have to be called twice to come and get it.
