I live in the U.K and the price of housing here is astronomical ,and being a small country it leads to overcrowding , I am thinking tentatively of moving to the states in a years time so just wanted to know really , do you have to be rich over there just to get a decent house?
p.s any Canadians feel free to comment as Canada is also on my 'list'

Scottsdale everyone thinks of first.........well I live where it's cheaper then that by a billion miles......and where we use to have our 5 ac looks like your in Scottsdale without the price.
But because of how the prices are down...if you have to have Scottsdale nows the time!!!! Still pricely for me.
If you want all seasons then you want to be up in the mountains, now your talking beauitful for sure........Sondona is the "red rocks" and no picture will do it good. $$$$$$$$ yup I can't even aford to think up there....then there are areas close but less $$$ Then their is Prescott who can be just like Sondona price wize.......but they do have some area's that are less......everyone has something up there it seems if you have money you got the 2nd home up there.
I would love to move up there....right now it's so much kooler then down here.......I am looking on line for places up there myself.
But to rent.
Rent is still a good choice especially if you are not use to the area rent first and see what you think.........jumping in after you understand the area is better idea......but that is my opion and some maybe say different.
Phx has good and bad areas like any big city anywhere. I rather not live in Phx. There is so much around phx. Maybe the NORTH part of phx is ok........spoil here............

Mostly I'm ill and don't have a job. My husband isn't in much better shape.
So for us we didn't save, we grew kids, and we didn't have what you need to surive these days.
We always thought our home was our savings....WRONG!
Well can't cry over spilt milk or shouldn't, should I.
So love to look at all the new houses still.......kids or a few of them ask me about realestate.......and what I think....infact my middle son is calling me about everything he is finding. I think in away after what I just told him he wish he would of listen to me...
But he is young enough and I think he will be ok......
There is always bumps in life..........

Always pitch a tent here for a while......in our back yard but no room might be taking in kids again....so far they manage to keep out....

Google is here now, Intel, lots of chip makers are here. EAST VALLEY....so up in Scottsdale too.
