Codependency Support Group
Codependency is defined as someone who exhibits too much, and often inappropriate, caring for another person's struggles. A codependent person may try to change, or feel shame about their most private thoughts and feelings if they conflict with the other person's struggles. If you are on a journey towards self-love, this support group is for you. Join us and find others...

I'm a bit livid. There have been no face to face CODA meetings in California for two years. TWO YEARS. I have not been attending CODA meetings online because it's not private to do so in my house and I don't want to go sit in my car somewhere just to be able to attend a meeting. I have checked the national website several times over the last month and there are still no face to face meetings on there. Each time I specify that I want a face to face meeting on the website, the website takes me to a meeting that is "temporarily online." I am sick of it. I need support and I need to go to a meeting.
Numbers of infections are way down, restrictions are being lifted to the point that children and staff members no longer have to wear masks in schools but I still can't go to face to face CODA meetings. It's been two years and it's time to stop all this nonsense. Either masks work and social distancing works or it never worked and we didn't need to be put through this nonsense to begin with.
Is there a place to complain with national? Please let me know.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

there has been considerable popular press on the social impact of misogyny (hatred of women). misandry (hatred of men) seems socially blessed. poor girl. how right you are to hate the evils of men. never mind that harboring hatred burns holes in your soul. those evil creatures are worthy of all the hate we can muster.i have 5 brothers, 5 sisters and 3 sons and 2 daughters. i hold that misandry is...

Here is the CODA national website link with how to contact them. You'll notice on the page that it lists the board members email, click on that link and it will pop open your email. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and it gives an address and phone number for national. You also want to try to find leadership so you can write or call the CEO. Keep it brief, I have said it twice because so often we kind of rant and rave and that gets blown off by people who don't really care. Also try to get other members that you might know to call or email these same people. Advocacy 101. Good for you!

Thank you for the focus. I do need to take the emotions out of my request and be succinct. I will contact national and see what can be done.
I took the whole pandemic as a sign to embrace my alone time and explore myself.
A face meeting will be nice and I have covered some real ground with my issues so it will be something to share and connect with.
I've been doing a lot of volunteer work in the community so that's been my way of getting interaction.
As far as it all being nonsense I fall right in the middle of that thought. I trust my immune system and at no time did I have any fear for myself or my healthy adult kids. I wore the mask for others and only when it was mandated. Fortunately I work for myself and am alone all day generally so it didn't effect me much.
However as a volunteer EMS I have seen the hospitals overflowing on a continuing basis so that's real. I have pretty much given up on the media and have come to the conclusion that I don't know anything about the pandemic even if my ego wants to say I do. Defiantly ready to put this whole 'whatever it was' in the rear view.
If anything the pandemic has made everyone more codependent because every time I turn around there's someone who wants to ram their views down my throat and get me to change for them to feel right. I've come to the place where I don't need to be right anymore, just me is enough...This took some real soul searching and I learned a lot about myself and others. Seeing the mental health of our society so strained is a bit alarming for me.
