Not stupid. You had to prove you could do it. You did and it brought you joy. I think we have to do that once in awhile.

i do know.i loved playing softball in school.my gdaughter has been playing since she was 5.anyway i decided i was going to play ball 1 last time.so i get my husband,my daughter and gdaughter to go to the park with me.i dont remember how many strikes i had before finally i hit the ball.if only yall could have seen me trying my best to run the bases.all i remember hearing is my daughter screaming dont get grammie out.i had fun,but i didnt need nobody telling me my playing ball days could and would only be good fun memories from then on.maddie.

I push myself to far every now and then knowing I'm going to pay for it later and probably for a week. I don't usually have regrets though. It feels good to accomplish something every now and then. We feel alive!!! Is that stupid? No way!

Hey Jan. How ya feelin'? Don't worry, you're not alone in the "duh" column. I think most of us here can relate to wanting to be "normal" again just for a minute and then pay for it later.

Mine is always the grocery store where I always lift big bags of dog food and cases of Diet Pepsi. By the time I get home my body is already screaming. Now I could wait until my son gets home so he can go with me but do I? Never. Can we say "duh?"

Awww JC I'm sure it was worth it, in some capacity....

My latest is....Sunday, it was a gorgeous Fall Day, nice and cool, the sun was shining, air smelled crisp....I went outside and raked and bagged leaves out of my flower beds for 45 minutes....LOL....between my jaw/tooth feeling like it was going to explode from pressure later that night and my legs screaming in pain and refusing to bend.....well, damnit it was still worth it!!!!!

My last duh was thinking it would be OK to flip my mattress around! I had to leave it up against the wall fr hours till my husband came home.

I can just picture you dancing your heart out- too bad it was video'ed- it would be great on Youtube! lol...

My duh moment was just the afternoon when I got into a BIG argument with my son. He's 14 and of course, he knows everything. The stress made my pain go through the roof. It's 5:41pm now and we're still not talking. I just want to shake him and say "Wake up!". If you have a complaint about your family you don't tell the school nurse. I'm scared that DYFS will be knocking on our door next. Been there, don't want to go there again.

My upcoming duh moment will be making almond bread to take to my SIL's for Thanksgiving. It's a lot of work and I so know I'll pay for it. Black Friday will definitely be black for me.

woohoohooohoo.....can't wait for Black Friday....my ass is up at 3:00 a.m....well it's not like I ever go to sleep before 5:oo a.m. anyways, and I'm at the store by 5:00a.m.. ALL of my Cmas shopping is done that Day!

I had a moment the other night,, instead of getting my lazy you know what out of my bed, i leaned over the bed and fell off the bed landing on my shoulder.... Damn thing still hurts like hell!!!!!
I guess mine was more of a lazy moment instead of something fun....

I wouldn't call it stupid ar all. if you enjoyed the music and the dancing, then I think it's worth it. I've done it many times myself but i love music and dancing and its good to get lost in that sometimes. Unfortunately we end up paying for it later, but hope u had a good time anyways.

I do stupid stuff every day but some of it has to be somebody. I, too, like the feeling of accomplishment and feeling useful.

I do the duh moment alot. most recent was Monday morning pulling nails,and smashed my already buzzing right thumb. I will do what I feel up to doing till I can't do anything anymore.So bring on the DUH. moments.

Jan your not stupid at all you had fun. I love to dance. I still try to sneak a few wiggles in here and there. I push myself knowing the consequences aren't going to be good. Move it or loose it, lol.
