I use this thing at least 14 hours a day. The electrodes that I use are leaving horrible burn/brand marks on my back. I have two channels so four electrodes. I do alternate where they are attached which is good and bad. Good because I can move them, but bad because now I have eight one inch squares on my back. I told my wife, one more and we can play tic-tac-toe. Unfortunately I use the disposable electrodes, which are pretty much the bottom of the line, but they stick. The good ones I was taping on and it just wasn't working out. Has anyone else had any experience with this situation or related to it????? Please respond if so.

In the meantime, aloe works wonders for the burns/rash/whatever it is!

Keep the responses coming. I learn more from actual experience than doctors,(sometimes). I think ya'll know what I mean. I've got my TENS not turned up quite as high this morning. Speaking of high, I'm trying to use my TENS unit at work instead of loading up on pain meds. My PM doctor has referred me to a neurosurgeon but my WC nurse has to make sure he is in "their network". Anyway thanks to all, so far.

I don't remember there being a time limit, but I was told not to run it all the time. I seem to remember the PT saying to run it an hour and then have it off an hour. I'd look into some different electrodes for sure.

I use to have a TENS unit and I never had issues with the electrodes, you might want to have that checked out, just in case.....

Jumpingfences thanks for your input. You too Tipper. I hope all ya'll are doing OK. I'm trying that on and off thing with this TENS and I tell you what the off part is pretty bad. WC is really putting the screws to me. Can anyone identify with toe-tapping pain. I have been sitting at my desk for quite a while, I'm gonna get up and walk around a little bit. Please keep any input coming. I am listening.

I'm getting my tens unit on Thursday. I talked to the rep today and he said that he recommends using it for 30 mins at a time, but since I'll be using it on my chest, he said only 20 mins at a time. I'm not sure how many times a day yet. He said it will come with very detailed instructions. So when I get it I will read it all and repost what I read and see if that'll help you at all!

I'm a lil concerned after reading all your posts that I'll have issues with keeping the pads on since it's an awkward place for me to put them. I have had a rediculous time with any pads, like lidoderm or flector. They never stay in place cuz of my cleavage! Lol

I'm sure there were instructions but men don't read those. I got it through WC so no rep. The electrodes are the cheapest ones made but they stick. I think the problem is I crank it up and don't use the timer. They tried to send me one like you might get in a cracker jack box but I complained about it. The one I have now is nice. It's an NMS+. I took it easy today and my wife put that ointment on my back. Thanks Rachmw for jumping in and let me know.

I knew it but I've been waiting to hear it.
No seriously, whenever we have something that needs to be done to put together or something new first my husband tries to do it without reading the instructions.
Then, when it's not working now he'll say" wrote me read those instructions" LOL. I think it's just something with guys.

Instructions are only what you need if something goes wrong. I am an electrician, and a shock here and there is no big deal. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.......lol
