This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

After reading about the woman who was cutting IV lines, etc., I decided to add these two things that actually happened to me...
First Story:
My Mom was seriously ill and had brought her purse to the hospital. We did not think to remove her ID and credit cards. Of course someone came in while she was sleeping and stole her cards and went on a spending spree. We discovered it when our bank called to ask why we were spending abnormal amounts on childrens clothes. We has to prove who we were, our spending habits, etc.
Please if you or a loved one go to the hospital have someone be responsible for your ID and credit cards!
Story Two:
In the hospital cafe, a man approached me with what looked to be a bus schedule and sat down at my table. He said his Mom was having open heart surgery in the hospital we were in and he had to be in Atlanta by a certain time and he needed cash for a bus ticket.
Big problem: a bus could NOT have reached Atlanta from my area in two hours even if Superman pushed the bus and used the best gas ever! Even if the bus had wings...no way!!!
I told him I was sorry I could not help.
He had approached several others with same story.
I tried to get hospital security on the phone and could not.
When I asked a nurse, she gave me a direct number to security.
Moral? Be aware!!! And have a working security number to hospital just in case...for patients and visitors safety!!!

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Really sad world at times

unfortunately, hospitals cannot afford the amount of security guards needed to keep these people from getting in. And of course, as much as I hate to say it,there are hospital personnel who will rob you blind while you're sick or injured. I had my best friend's grandfathers cross and rosary beads stolen from me while I was in a coma. They were irreplaceable.
They should print the security's phone extension on visitor passes. That way, if you see something happening, you know who to call immediately without trying to find someone to help you. i'm going to suggest that to the hospital I frequent.
I hope that karma is real and these people get what they deserve. I know they'll have to answer to God eventually though.
Sandy
Sorry about the rosary.
You are right. God will get them!
People can be so rude and crude.
