My house is an older small functional condo with hardwood floors, leather couch, quality dark wood coffee table, but it is decorated with painting or sculptures that I either like or made myself. I like clean lines, harmony, and no clutter. Outside is my favorite becuase that is where my everychanging garden is. I plant it all in pots so I can move it around and in the summer it is an explosion of colour and texture. THis year I'm removing an area that was white rocks and replacing it with antique red brick up to the little pond.
My home is my oasis from the stress at work.

My house is old, built in 1925, so I have some antiques and my hubby builds furniture so we have lots of that around too. I have a "cottage" outside our house, not attached, that has served as a garage, then a place for my daughter and baby to sleep, then an office to both my hubby and I when we had our own companies, now it is the 'soap shack" where I make my soap.
Oh and I have a pantie, pbra, skarf obsession!!!( im a woman, jic anyone didnt know).
Im a jeans or a flowy skirt and t shirt gal. I also love my comfy pants with a loose fitted t shirt which have been my staple as of late. I live in my flip flops (It's Florida, whatdya expect?). I have shoulder length blonde hair with blue eyes and I wear glasses. I love blues, pinks of all shades, browns and blacks and yellows. As long as Im comfortable Im happy. But I know how to dress it up for a night on the town. I don't wear much jewelry except a few rings and maybe a pair of earrings.
As for my house well I don't have one right now cause I live with my parents but I'll describe my room. Oak country style furniture with a country inspired multicolored sun patterned quilt on my bed. Also have a Suns, moons and stars throw blanket that I use when sitting in my beige faux seude recliner. I have candles all over the place. I love simple lighting. I have 2 book shelves both are filled with pictured I have taken throughout the years. One holds my antique book collection. My oldest book is from 1852, so if you have any antique books you are looking to get rid of, Im you're gal! My walls are covered with pictures I have taken, I am a photographer. Some of them are down right now because I just rearranged my room but they will be up soon. Above my bed I have a recycled steel carved tribal sun. I collect suns, moons, and stars, but the unique looking ones, not the cartoonish ones. My dogs bed is right under the window so he get so see everything that is coming on the road, but at times he sleeps in front of the door to protect me from harm. I also collect antique cameras which are on the same bookshelf as my antique books. So if you have any of those, I will gladly take them off of your hands.
When I have my house I have a brick red sleeper sofa and love to scatter pictures on the wall that I have taken. My pictures vary from the family farm that I grew up on, to family and friends, and nature that surrounds me. I have antique end table and coffee table with a slate center. I also have and antique piano. Most of my stuff is in storage right now, until I find my own place.
But that about sums it up!
Gentle hugs,
Jenna

My Home is comfortable with neutral palate and Like Susie I like to change up the accent color a bit. I am more of a shabby chic type and a bit of modern thrown in there so I guess it is eclectic. My style changes alot with the season but the main thing I like is that you can sit back and be comfortable whatever room you are in. I re-did my ktichen and not happy so going to re-paint and hopefully I will like it again.
About 10 yrs ago, my husband was getting lazy about mowing our yards, always putting it off, etc. So I hired a lawn service. He liked it so much that 10 yrs later we still have the same service. He got wise real quick when I stopped waiting for him to do something and just hired the plumber, etc. I could handle the house (even working 55 hr weeks) but I couldn't do it all. He learned to start addressin a problem before I called someone, lol.
It's a shame that you have to deal with pain and a pain in the butt!!
Don't care at all about designer tags, or brand names. I'd rather thrift shop then give my money to some overpriced "designer". Like Silver or white gold jewelery when I wear any at all. Usually just stick to my pair of silver hoops.
I like to be different enough to not look like everyone else, but not enough to where people stare & wonder what the hell I was thinking. LOL
Most days I'm makeup free, but love the whole process of getting "dolled up" to go somewhere special. ;-)
My living areas are completely ecclectic...maybe organized chaos a bit. I love color, hate neutrals, & anything with geese, or countryish looking...YUK! I love Mediterranean, East Indian, Antique, some French Country, ...you get the picture. lol I like lots of patterns, textures, & deep rich colors.
Can't have enough plants, I love to have nature indoors. Feng Shui plays a part in my living areas. :-)
I'm also a total CAT person, dogs are ok, but they're just NOT cats! lololol I have 7 cats who have become my family since all my kids are grown & moved out. :-)
I love long flowy peasant skirts and embroidered cotton tops... love the hippy look. But since most of our year is cold and yucky I resort to jeans or khaki's and T shirts - but they have to be pretty girly t shirts. I wear a silver and black Celtic ring and silver hoop earrings always. On my feet are my faithful crocs but I have pretty croc flats so I'm not looking like i just walked out of the garden. I used to be able to wear nice shoes and always wore skirts weather dressy for the office or casual for home. Since I can't wear the nice shoes the dressy skirts are out. I like beige, orange, browns and lots of 'warm' tones. Also have a lot of purple, always loved it.
My home is a mess. Ever since leaving my husband 6 years ago I have just had whatever hand-me-down furniture I can get cheap or free. I did buy myself a beautiful victorian wooden kitchen table set a couple years ago but never got it refinished. I love black furniture - my bedroom is coming along with a black/white comforter set, red sheets, lots of candles and word art on the wall. I'm painting all my wooden furniture black but so far have only a small desk done in shiny black with brushed steel knobs, its my favorite piece of furniture in the house besides my recliner. I have my paintings on the walls, word art quotes and paintings my mother made. Gotta get some photos printed off so I have family pics on the walls too. Oh and my angels, I love angels! And books everywhere (cluttery :( )
That's me in a not-so-small nutshell
