Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
If my house, well it's just a jumble of stuff really, I have alot of our grandparents furniture and we have four big bookcases. But in my bedroom where I seem to be spending alot of time is very asian. Deep crimson reds. It's soothing to me.
Everywhere else is random lots of orange, thanks to my hubby seeing as he is a die hard UT fan!
i decorate, and wear, a lot of burgundy, forest green and teal. last year for my 50th i bought a beautiful indian fabric i have on my wall in those colors, intertwining flowers and leaves.
i have one pair of 40's wedges i just can't sell. i would take a cab if i wore them.
then i also like to go and mix styles from biker to chic together.
In my home I have a bright yellow sunny kitchen and burgandy in my living room and dining room. Bedroom is a classic country manor look. Love candles and candelabras and wall sconces for romantic lighting.
My living room is western with browns, blues, earth tones.Brown leather sofa and a big recliner. Plants every where. Cowboys and native american art. Lots of framed arrowheads and such that I have found.
My bedroom is tourquoise walls! Brown curtains. Beach scene deluxe! Shells, bamboo, sunglasses, lighthouses, candles anything that makes me feel like i'm at the beach. If I can't be there,I'll bring it to me!
Except for tile in my bathroom and laundry room I have hardwood all through my home. No more vacuuming for me!
Excellent computer room, watch the sunrise from the window every day.. over looks a. Huge patio, have done bonsai for 20 years, huge collection, orchids and palms... N my trusty rocking chair mmmm...
Clothes... Absolute style guru.... ha ha...
Live in the tropics.... Boxer shorts, n, T,.... neighbours all used to it.
Winter, levis and big baggy n daggy woolen jumpers.
Shoes.... Bare feet , a pair RM Williams boots,
I have a very,....unique style, army boots with dresses and big hair kinda girl...always black eyeliner but no more makeup. I usually wear fitted clothes as I am tall and quite slim (although I am getting some jibber jabber around my middle!) and I like tailored clothes. I do not own a pair of jeans and rarely wear trousers, always dresses or skirts and leggings. Im not a jewellery type, Im quite plain really. cant be bothered with fussy clothing, so typically classic suits me.
Im not really one for fashion...I kinda just wear what I like to wear. I hate shopping with a passion so im not in style! Although I am half turkish, I dont wear turkishy clothes although I do look asian.
hugs xx
I don't care what color or style.
Pants should have a waist that sits at the smallest part of the body so I don't have to hike them up constantly. Whom ever thought women's pants waist bands should be at the very part of my body that is widest should be strung up by his/her thumbs and allowed to be made fun of from dawn to dusk until the realize the folly of such designs.
LOLOL
Lots of sweat shirts and sweaters fo those hot flashes that never seem to ever ever get done in life.
T-necks for winter
Short sleeves for summer (meds cause sensitving to sun burn).
PUrple is the best color ever
Followed by Blue
then Red & green of equeal standing
Lastly black and white are staples for every woman
My house recks of spirituality. I have an awesome collection of angels. They are everywhere alot of them are unique not your standard cherubs. I love antiques and oak ratan type furniture. My bathroom is a beachy, towels with sea shells on them shower curtain pattern is shells. Alot of crystal bowls, candles, sea shells in sand. I have a lamp made out of sea shells, I found a few big ceramic vases with etched shells that I use 1 for a trash can and the other is a magazine holder.
I think you get the point. My destiny is to live on the beach and I will have it within 5 years.
Great post JC!!
Have two adult children at home. Not much that looks like anything other than "drop it and pick it up when you need it again" kinda decorating.
My home...hmmm, living room couches are overstuffed, brown shade, with walls a golden tint. I also have maroon in there for accent. I love my dining room best with deep red walls and beautiful cherry dining room set.
I guess I would describe it all as very "homey" and comfortable. I love candles, pictures of family, and I collect different kinds of crosses.
Great topic!! Thanks.
I hate to wear make up, but I feel more confident when I do.
I don't know what my style is...I don't think I have one lol. I live in a ranch style open concept home. Leather furniture in living area and walls are sage green with white trim. Kitchen has black appliances...dinning area is tan with white trim. Lots of windows cause I like lots of light. I have a few house plants as decoration and not much else as I don't like clutter. Clutter to me is chaos in my mind and I am not happy :) I started decluttering and organizing about a year after my diagnosis to make things easier on myself and so I could spend my time...when I do feel half way decent with my family, not cleaning.
That's it...I'm a pretty boring person :)
This is beyond delightful, getting a picture if who you are as people is priceless. What a great thread.
I will attempt to do justice to what has been started. I live in what I refer to as my tree house. Actually, it is an apartment above a garage. But I am surrounded on all sides by gorgeous trees and from any window it feels like I am in a tree house. I absolutely love it. I live on a bay. So the water fowl are abundant. It is an idealic setting and very peaceful.
I am a 5'3 blue eyed nature girl. I've loved being outdoors all my life and I have always had an affinity with animals. I dress rather casually at the moment. I buy most of my cloths from Goodwill, Cold Water Creek, REI, or LLBean. My sister who has the good fashion sense in the family calls me a granola. I wear Birkenstok sandlles and I love them because they are so comfortable. My favorite color is blue and I tend to wear it a great deal. But I have also been adding red to my color selection and that's been fun. It kind of perks me up a bit.
I do lots of crafts so my home is decorated with the things I make. Like quilts, wall hangings, polymer clay pieces, and cross stitch. It is a work in progress right now.
I also have my little dog Moby who is my constant buddy.
Hugs, Cathy
