Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Angela, I hope you feel better soon.
Welcome Alicia. I think you got it.
Big Hugs to all,
David.
Hug right on back, hope you all are having a good day.
Alicia
Thanks everyone for the support. I just had a real whinney, mommy doesn't love me moment. Time to grow up.
Hope you have had / having an OK day, hopes n wishes for pain free days are up...
Thanks for your smiles, laughs and your support... you all bring bright spurts of light into my life...... Thank You.....
I've been hiding in the corner for the past couple days but I'm no stalker, unless your into that kind of thing.
Thanks for the laughs, esp Dix.
Nice to meet you and hope you stick around.
Angela
The knee I have the most trouble with, snapped right before work this morning. How the heck can that cause the pain to include the hip right down to the foot? And now, my neck, upper back and arm on the other side, are in awful pain, too.
I admire those of you who set goals for each day and those who vow to enjoy the day no matter what.
I have managed to do what I had to do and there's nothing left of me that can push beyond and enjoy anything. I've just taken meds and will be lying down with my little buddy, Ricky. Wait...here comes Leo for a naptime, to. Sophie should be along soon.
My Sons are grown so I collect shelter dogs, now.
It's raing in VT so I have a great excuse to stay in, putter, watch foolishness on tv, nap with the critters...you get the idea.
Last year at a particularly low point, my shrink asked me what I'd like to see change in my life. I started telling him that I wanted less anxiety, less anger within myself, less...well, less seemed to be my only focus.
He asked me to try thinking in terms of what I'd like more of. The first one he suggested was more joy. It was very difficult to come up with things so he'd take one of my 'less' wishes at a time and turn it into what the opposite would be.
So I guess this is a challenge for those of you who struggle as I do...let's start thinking in different terms and find out if it feels a little better!
Love you folks!
Hey, I got the dog bathed!!! whoop whoop whooop! lol My least favorite thing to do cause it hurts my back so bad.
cherry honey, I love the thought, but I can figure out how to turn my desire for less stress into a positive. You need to give me an example. I think I might be a little slow this morning.
Hope everyone is having a relaxing low pain sunday!
Good idea Cherry...but, like Dixie, can't seem to get there from here today.
I'm all for positive thinkin', though.
Just a little tired, I guess.
Hugs n well wishes to everyone...jc
Finally we had a sunshine weekend and I puttered in my garden and rearranged, and moved things, and cleaned up, and I was in heaven getting ready for a spring planting as I thought of what I would do this year.
I have an opposite for less stress.....more relax time doing something easy and creative.....
The sun has gone behind the rain clouds today and I have to work, but it sure was nice. It's nice being back here with you guys too.
(((((Hugs to the bunch of you))))))
I did too much yesterday and have been paying for it ever since. It's so iscouraging when all I want to do is a few things around the house without repercussions.
There was no way I could drive to see my shrink so I cancelled that. He lets me get by without that 24 hour cancellation policy.
Last week it was 80 degrees and today it's 26, snowing off and on and the wind is gusting to over 40 mph! I eally hope that wasn't Summer....
Hugs...
Cherry
