Hello Hi everyone!
everyone!
Im So Grateful to be back after an 8 month sabbatical! I hope Im accepted to our group! I need you, more than you know! Truly!
I've suffered from Chronic Pain over 25 years. I was Perma-Banned" from a fom a FM group because of difference of opinions with a certain adman, even after I had 137 "likes!": But, Glad I'm gone, at last now I am more or less free to say what I chose, within limits!
Unfortunately, i know a LOT, because of the 25 years, but Lord no, far from the wisdom...of a doctor, , well, all most! lol
I am here mainly to help all i can for the new souls who suffer from chronic pain, it's a long road, but very doable!
Newbies,, its ever so life altering! Theres one simple thing to try to remember, and thats gratitude! I was a bench warmer for Major League Baseball. I thought my like ended.
For almost 10 years i felt helpless, a looser, not a man! Suddenly i spoke with a lady with 35 years of chronic pain. She taught me in 3 hour what i had the hardest time comprehending.
Dont get me wonge, I take 500 MG MS Contin ER daily, * Norco 10s Daily, 4 ea 2MG clonazepam Daily, 3 each Soma, daily, ! Each 60 MG Cymbalta, and 6 Sennot S, (a stool Softener)
She explained I have so much to me grateful for I have a home, I eat daily, I have transportation supplied for me.
I could ne like poor Stephen Reeves! Imagine, feeling, breathing, but not able to speak, walk, talk, absolutely nothing! I could be homeless, I have so much gratitude today, its insane! I'm blessed to have chronic pain! Does that sound odd? If you say yes, bit; do I agree! It sounds like Ive gone bonkers!
In all honestly, Its kept me sane, in less pain, enjoying life again, and ultimately saved my life! Attitude of gratitude is so important to me. May I recommend you just give it a try! a real try, not just half way, but full blown.
Another thing I do, is a daily pain diary. Marked: AM - Noon - Evening -Night. With and are for notes of activities, temp, rain and incidentals. I have 23 year of binders in my night stand today. It helps me remember!
I'll call you my family, because you are special to me! My family tells me I am an addict, to goive it to God, oh my, have i ever tried and prayed, but to no avail. :)
I am now home fulltime! If anyone cares to chat, please contact me. Ive learned Biofeedback, wihich is a Godsend, it reduces my pain scale by 2 points. I recommend you ask your Pain doc for a referal. When you lean, you are connected to electrodes and shows your pain pattern. Remarkably your pain is controllable this way!, it is controllable!
I have at least 18 injections, a spinal cord stimulator, and an now soon awaiting approval on an infusion pump! Oh I also did RFTC, (Radio Frequency Thermo Coagulation.)
My new family, I'd love to hear from you, and help you anyways i can through my experiences only!
So happy I am back! Gentle Hugs and

So mad at Xfinity! They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today! Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

Hope you have a happy weekend & again, Welcome back!

Well I'll call myself psychic since I called you Steve before you did your 2nd post. I promise you Steve I'm only half nuts & really tired lol
I hope your having a relaxing day with low pain.
Thank you for sharing your info. I have a Harrington rod on each side of my spine & 63pins & screws. I'm basically fused from my tailbone to T5. I'll be interested to see how the pump works for you. My pain has pretty much settled to the lumbar area & due to spinal stenosis my left foot is about 3/4 numb & the R foot a 1/4.
When are you having the pump put in?
Please keep us posted :)
Hugs & God Bless

Whatever opiod meds we are on, eqates to Morphine; 1 MG 1to 0.018 MG morpjine from the pump. Reasone, it goes straight up ur spinal canal, to your brain, covers to waise en peed out. Saves you live an kidneys, etc. I hope is as effective as what I hear! The trial was remarkable! i was at 2 2 od 10 on pain scale! :)
