Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
After a full day of my new meds, I think I'm doing a little better. A slightly higher dose and trying the long acting type might be very useful.
my mum brings around meals once a week, at first i didnt like it, but it's nice knowing that she cares and takes time out,the kids love it as well.
i think to myself, least i dont have to cook, wash more dishes and feel sore afterwords,so i'm glad she does that.
she didn't understand my pain but now she does.,
I have the total opposite, my mother has never come over to even see me. I have been very sick over a year now and my mom has never stopped by. I talk to her on the phone and cry the whole time and she just treats me like a stranger.
My sister that owns a small deli grocery store, my mom is there every wednesday to help her put away the orders. My youngest sister has a 3 yr old little cutie and my mom is at her house every other day helping taking care of her.
I need to step back and stop getting hurt over and over again.
Consider yourself lucky to have a mom to bless you every week, thats great.
Big hugs
Dee
But this group is really the only place where I feel comfortable venting , asking a questions and sympathize with others.
Everyone here has their stories and reading them and responding to their discussions helps me realize that I'm not the only one who has chronic pain.
David.
The women in my family drive me a little crazy sometimes with wanting to do too much for me. My sons don't know what to do so they tend to avoid me. My oldest son calls and vents about everything going on in his life and then starts in on the same old thing...telling me what I SHOULD do.
A therapist once told me that 'should' is a very angry word and I ought to avoid using it. My son is very controlling, yet I know he loves me and just wants to find a way to 'fix' me. That's what guys do!
However I know that it's hard to handle certain comments. For example my mum whenever I feel worst she tells me that there are people who suffer more than I do. I know that she means well, but it is frustrating. We all know that there are people worst than us, but that doesn't relief our pain, right?
In the other hand they are our family and they love us, so we have to give them a break too.
It is great we all found this support group to share our storys.
I wish you the best, Cherry.
Since my condition has gotten steadly worse, I don't hear that from anyone these days...even Mom!
I am so grateful to hae found this group!
Tyler likes Blueberry Buckle, Blair would kill for my Broccoli soup and Alex...I think he'd just prefer $$$!
I did so much yesterday to help my friend with her bake sale that I'm good for nothing today. It's another one of those days when meds don't do a thing so I will only do what I have to.
There are so many things neding attention...damn.
Big Hugs,
