I was denied disability and just before my 62nd birthday, Ive run out of money. I'm preparing to sell all my worldly goods and move out of my apartment of 16 years. I'm hoping to move into section 8 housing at the end of the month, but there are no openings. I've just about killing myself trying to downsize dramatically. I have two compression fractures that are hurting so much as I try to whittle down my stuff. I won't get my early retirement social security until nearly February, so for all I know I'll be homeless in December. Good month for it in the northeast. A friend came over to help me set up the apartment for the sale. We were taking an excercise bike outside and I fell down the back stairs. Now I'm in the ER. I've aggravated my back and neck pretty badly and I think I have a broken ankle. Now I'm imagining me living in my car with a broken ankle.
I'd welcome any prayers, good thoughts or suggestions.

I know this is stupid, but after not being able to find a job after graduation for almost two years, I ended up just taking an online teaching job because I couldn't find anything in my field. I was trying to get out of teaching and I feel so devastated. I felt this crushing feeling when I signed the paperwork and when I was in the meetings. I know that sounds so dramatic but it is how I felt. It...

I just finished with a broken ankle. I had to wait 24/48hrs before they put an air cast on as they needed to make sure the swelling had stabilized. After a week or so I was able to slowly get around using my Walker. I'm sending up prayers for healing, answers/solutions and diminished pain. Please keep us posted on how your doing.
Hugs & God Bless

I've been able to have my sale OK. With the walking cast, I've been getting around all rights. Strangely, my back hurts more than my ankle. I took a bath last night and looked at my ankle, and said, Oh, yeah, that is a broken ankle.
Friends and even strangers have been helping me organize the sale. So, I'm hanging in.
If I can help in anyway let me know.
Meanwhile I'll play the lottery for you!@#$%^
You're in my prayers Sweetie.
