I was diagnosed with CP about nine years ago. After years of walking with a stride all my own, a doctor asked about my gait and it being scissorish. To say the least, down a rabbit hole I went. After tons of denial and then numerous tests I was diagnosed with spastic diplegia. It only affects my walk and my balance.
I grew up in a no excuse world and have done everything any other person has- sports, smart a whip, and now I'm hurting and stiff past any over the counter medicine can help. I've never let anything hold me back and now it seems to be getting worse and I feel like I'm in a spiral.
Ive driven myself to the edge and now I find myself seeming feeling like a burden. I was told by someone close to me that they didn't want to excercise walk with me because I would hold them back. Devastated. I would have never thought.
told I was being unrealistic about my expectation to be included in that.
no one I know can even begin to understand the struggle I go through daily, the never ending pain and now this.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

If people don't want to be friend's with You Because You slow them down.....That's their problem, The right people will look past Your problem, and see You for You and not judge You on how slow You walk or the way You may talk....Those people aren't worth it.
It took me a while before I realized that.
