Hi everyone, I’m Melissa and I’m from NYC. I recently joined this support group after my dad 62 yo was diagnosed with end stage renal disease and was placed on dialysis treatment this past June. I’ve been searching for virtual support groups and this platform was recommended by my care coach so here I am now. I’m looking forward to connecting with others as I know I am not alone in this caregiver journey. Have a happy Thursday!!

Woke up feeling very emotional and about to clock in at my place of employment. And can't place it all in writing but not been a good experience with my store manager or his boss. Defamation of my character is a concern. I've been losing appetite and weight. Trying to perform at work to keep myself from hospitalization as a result of toxic masculinity.

I keep being reminded take care of you first so you can give care to everyone else.
And, having the support of the group you found with urban's suggestion is great!
The more you learn, the easier it is to remain calm and be clear headed responding to the need of the elder parent.
