It is rectangular. tried options with no luck. It was working when they left... The fan outside is moving (the one you see from the top, in the unit) but no air is coming out of the vents. There is condensation dropping from some insulated pipe thing by the furnace. I checked outside to see if it was frozen over, but it wasn't.

I know what's wrong. Turn it off. Inside is frozen. Filter is clogged due to moisture. It has to thaw.

If you open the front cover of the air handler in your basement, you will see two coils that are frozen. You should also look for the air filter because it has to be changed regularly. If you take off cover, you will notice frozen ice. That is not what you want. I took a hairdryer and melted the ice.

yes I see the part I would have to open...the clue was heavy condensation at the bottom of that panel. lol. But there were three pipes coming out of it and looked like clear adhesive securing them to it (they go through the panel itself), so I am wary to open it. One pipe is white PVC, one is black insulation pipe and a copper pipe. I'm afraid to mess with it because of this. It is very cold there and i'm sure frozen coils. Googled this problem and apparently there are many causes and you have to fix the underlying problem. So I guess I will call them tomorrow and tell them it is frozen inside and they have to come fix it?
