Geo - I think the men here are special because they add a perspective that the women may not necessarily have - sometimes we just have different life experiences. I think there are more women here because women typically open up more while boys (then men) are discouraged from showing their feelings and pain. It takes a special man to overcome that.

I don't buy V's answer... its a pat answer. it also has no basis to draw from other than her own experiences.

but I absolutely agree with Z Most men are taught that we deal with things differently and we don't ask for help.... more and more men are starting to realize that we CAN ask for help and that it is the best thing.

Social Norms today are showing a small percentage on the support forum.... if the internet existed in 1960 and this forum existed... I'm wiling to bet that, assuming that nothing else changes, this site would be ALL women and NO men. in 40 years, it will be exactly 50/50 on these sites... as social norms change, more men are taught real lessons.

I didn't read the whole tread with all of the replies. Here is my reply.

Men tend to keep feelings in and we don't open up often. As men we are taught, at a very early age, to hide our feelings so that we seem more manly.

Men, like women, hurt just the same. We have ways hiding it and we often attempt to disguise it by doing other things.

I believe that a lot of Men who run from woman to woman are often insecure about themselves and they are trying to disguise some pain of some sort.

Wow V I'm jealous. I wish my BIGGEST concern was whether the men put the roll back on the tp or can load the dishwasher. Your killing me here.
