I am here because of all the women. I like to get their insights on things. Anything that helps me gain more knowledge into the workings of the female mind is a plus.

I have gotten and used lots of advice from all the people here actually, men and women.

Oh, and I disagree with the remark that men are the jerks most of the time....there's plenty of women that are just as bad so please don't generalize like that.

I think that DS is a hidden treasure and most people tend to stumble upon or are referred to it by another member. It is getting more popular and more members know about it than previously but I still believe it is mainly a result of research or a referral that brings most people here.

My thought is that women are more likely to research on the internet for issues that will bring up a 'hit' on sites like DS such as infidelity, divorce, breakups, heartbreak. I believe most men will tend to research issues like financial, child support/visitation and alimony that will result in 'hits' to this site also but that hit may be buried under others revolving along the lines of laws.

Whoever finds the site and looks around (male or female) will most likely stick around for a bit because there is so much that is offered.

In my opinion, most men will open themselves up to help but are not always aware it is available. Women, on the other hand, tend to assume help is available and actively search it out.
