I posted a few weeks ago about my 2-year relationship ending due to emotional neglect on his part. I spoke about how he became inconsiderate and displayed immense immaturity throughout the relationship and when I tried to present solutions on how to save the relationship, he just ended it instead. Thanks in part to the replies I have received on here as well as through my support network of friends, I have come to peace with the ending of the relationship, as I know, and have always known, that sort of treatment is not what I deserved.
What I am struggling with now is when will it ever be my turn. My entire life I wanted to be wanted. I wanted someone who loved being around me and appreciated and loved me for all I am - good, bad, and ugly. I have always wanted someone who will match my energy, who will rise up and meet me where I am - and who will reciprocate all the effort I give. I have done extensive work in therapy throughout the years to recognize my value and grow to love all of my amazing qualities and what I have to offer. I have worked hard to find my voice and advocate for myself in what I require from a partner. I dredged through the trauma and the muck and the unpleasant, and now I am ready for it to finally be MY turn. I see it happening to everyone else around me who hasn't done a fraction of the work I've done - and it happens to them so easily. So I am struggling with anger, resentment, jealousy, and intense frustration that no matter what I do, it's just not happening for me.
Been in those shoes
May or may not try and come back
This and that will change blah blah
Down the road the ex will cause similar problems most likely until they get help
They never see the problem of what they do
They charm and lie to next person until the scam is exposed
Seen this run deep in families, they cover and ruin relationships
Just go each day with good and positive thoughts and in time all will work out, i'm sure, You seem like a good decent person.
