Live your dream man. It is realistic and I reckon you will find someone special to share the dream with you.
My goal/dream for my present part of life and I think this is what helped me to start the healing process is I am going to Australia. To travel, find work, find myself and live again. Start over. I have always had what ifs and this is one of them. I am taking away the what if and doing it. Countdown is down to 4 weeks.
I really have that song stuck in my head tonight. It is wierd because I can't hear it enough.
Hurting....you have no idea how hard it is to find a woman who actually likes going for extended cruises. I only know of two in my marina that go out with their husbands. The rest of the guys were like me and sail out all by their onesies. She is out there...I think...but I won't settle until she comes along. Hell, if she doesn't then I will just do this all by myself.
Also...There are parts of the Carribean and a lot of parts of the Indian Ocean where piracy is still a real threat...I mean that Piracy on the Chesapeake Bay is still a threat because of me...but the other places are really bad.
I think I will name it Puerta de Gracia (Door of Grace).
It would be a safe house for women and girls who are in abusive relationships. It would also be a place for them to learn to read, write and express themselves creatively. (sigh...)
To live this life I will need to
master the spanish language
get on my feet and start saving money
stay out of debt
watch for funding oportunities
be patient and know that in time the doors will open
pray my booty off ;-)
Whatever you do, dont forget to live for today.
Just one more song that makes me think about living out the dream. Hell...46 or 50 isn't that old and a lot of people make that passage much older in life. It will be a good time to do it. As for now my dream is to do more coastal cruising and see every port of call that I can get into with my boat in the Chesapeake Bay.
I always dreamed of living near the mountains and here I am living along the front range area of the Rocky's. The dream always included a cozy fireplace in my own home and yes I managed to snag that and a hot tub too.
For now my dream is to just get to be "stable" again..no more ups and downs.
My dream, after buying my house, is to take my daughter to a Disney vacation in Orlando and (please dont laugh!!)go to one of Matt Nathansons presentations
