I am irritated by people who also use radio adapters for their iPods because it broadcasts over my iPod when I pass them on the street. It's almost always hip-hop or country.

Can I just say that since I live in nowhereseville this almost never happens to me. But yeah, when I go to the city I just hate it. Usually the sub-woofer makes my heart want to defibrilate.

No...I am being serious :P I take the phone book out every day and drop a pencil to find out who I will pick on for the day...After I do that I sit there near their house and wait for them to come out and wait for them to do something stupid! LOL I swear that people sometimes thing that we do those kind of things.

Nope...but we do enforce the noise ordinance from time to time. My pet pieve is when someone is going down the main street when all the familys are out and they are blaring music that has a swear word ever other word. They get a ticket because that is just sad.

Seriously Heave, cops scare me when they take out their personal irritations in their professional lives.

I'm a nurse. I have treated drug addicts, children of drug addicts, people who have blown out their livers due to their drug use and they get a new liver. I've dealt with people who have beaten their kids to brain-death, and then sit at their cribside and cry. I don't get to take out my personal feelings on them just because. I have to be professional, and treat them with the same respect that I treat everyone else with.

As a cop, you have a duty to be fair and hold yourself to a higher standard.

Maybe because I have state police out here, and we can't bother them for silliness like noise violations, I just don't see what the big deal is about a noisy car. Take a deep breath and relax!

Heave....you aren't going to like this..noise ordinance or not. Most Harley's are louder than car stereo's. Personally I'd rather listen to a Healthy Harley...but that's just me. As I drive for a living....I try not to let these petty annoyances get to me. If I really am bothered by it...I then blast the East Village Opera Company at them. Nothing annoys them more than having to listen to that over their boom boom.

Not that I am picking on someone but they are breaking the law and honestly, I find them to be a public nusance. The kids don't need to hear some artist singing about F-in up some B*tch in a song....I am sure the parents aren't happy about that either. It goes back to courtesy....seriously. It isn't that I am doing that to pick on someone but you would be surprised how many complaints we field about loud music. I feel that it is better to be pro-active. Trust me...If I had a choice of giving a ticket for a noise violation or stopping a drunk driver I would go after the drunk driver in a heartbeat.

You guys aren't throwing out the old "Don't you guys have something better to do?" line at me. I hear that all of the time. Actually, we get complaints about these things and enforcing all of the laws is my job. You never know what you will get when you stop a car. I got a HUGE dope arrest out of a car with loud music and put a drug dealer in jail for a while because he was playing loud music. Also found some suspended drivers. Any stop is a good stop because you never know what you find when you make the stop. THe next noise violation that I stop in a car could lead to a DUI or something even bigger. Point is that is something we enforce and yes it irritates me but I won't break my neck or ignore anything to just get the Noise Violation.

yes, some harleys are louder, but they are not swearing in a crowded business area either!
