Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Not that it's helpful, but the Urban Dictionary states:
geezer
In the U.K.: A guy, a bloke, a person in general. The British equivalent of the American slang word "dude".
In the U.S.: An old man, particularly one who is either cranky or eccentric. Rather derogatory term.
(UK) "You're looking for Johnny? Yeah, he's that geezer over there in the green coat."
(US) "Old man Anderson keeps yelling at the kids playing outside. That geezer!"
So... would you rather be classified under the US version or the UK version? :D
Fish and chips rocks... when served out of newspaper. Sigh.
or to love your mom?
or to love your child?
how about your best friend?
have you ever said the words to those people?
then you know what love is for cryin out loud !
I think the ratio between those people who say it and dont meant it
vs the ones who feel it when they say it
is actually pretty damn small.
no?
As for saying those 3 words; I think there are many different ways two people can love each other, friends, family, etc. But I think, if we stay within the context of what I believe the post was written about, when saying it to a romantic love interest, that you are in love someone, I believe some will say it because of what they are feeling at that moment. Whether it is during a sexual act, or are just sharing a bottle of your favorite drink on a beach enjoying the night moon. Its a feeling that comes over you about the person you are with, during any moment that touches your heart. I think you should be able to express your feelings when you feel them without repercussions cus of what another may think you mean or feel. That we as humans should be more open to those who do just share. Ask for clarification if words shared cause a concern, but open and honest with whoever you are with and most likely, it won't be a problem when or where something is said. It may just be something nice to hear once and awhile from someone who just cares about us.
