I have been dating this guy let’s call him Tom for seven months. Seven years ago I was raped, and for the five years following it I allowed myself to be abused, hurt, and treated like nothing. I felt that maybe just maybe if I have boys what they wanted that they would then love me, but no such luck. Then, I went to residential treatment for two years. When I came home, there was Tom. He was like a knight in shining armor with open arms and a heart full of love for only me. He made me believe there was something good about coming home and made me feel amazing. Now it is seven months later and he has become my whole world. My parents love him, I love him, everyone knows we are together, I’ve met his whole family, we’ve talked about staying together for much longer, and everything just feels so healthy and happy for me in this relationship. But, I am a lot to handle. Trying to be a good girlfriend while coping with the change of living in residential treatment for two years to now being home is a lot to handle, I have a lot of struggles still.... and Tom has been supportive for a while but I am 100% convinced that he is breaking up with me within the next three days. He asked for space, he doesn’t want to talk over the phone but only in person, he can’t wait to tell me what it is about on the day that we are supposed to be together because he’s scared it will ruin the day. He is literally my favorite thing about living right now. He has kept me alive these past seven months and I can’t lose him. I love him, so fucking much. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I can’t focus on anything but. I try to reach out to him and he is cold and disconnected. Everything in my life is so bad right now as it is this just breaking me.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

A similiar situation happened to me a week or so ago. I went to a psychic who appeared pretty accurate with most of the things she told me ...however when she told me my boygfriend had cheated on me 6 or so months ago and gave me a pretty thorough description of the girl (young, and light skinned etc) my world turned upside down. I thought and felt how could he do this to me?! I thought he loved me SO much even though I too can be a lot to handle sometimes. For days I barely eat I barely slept etc....then I straight up asked him in the most kind open minded way possible. He denied of course. BUT I couldn't let myself keep going on like this. So then it hit me one day. I asked myself how could I feel more secure so that in the event let's say my BF were to leave me or cheat on me it wouldn't be SOOO bad. Then I thought okay...I need to make sure im making myself happy, maintaining supportive and positive relationships with close friends and family...I need to do stuff that makes me happy like getting my hair done ...and of course balancing time between my lover and my friends. Otherwise if I consume myself with my BF then it heightens the likelihood that I will be completely devasted if he leaves me or cheats one me BUT if I take care of myself first than i may still hurt if the above happens but i will bounce back quicker....so lo and behold I still feel anxious but it's not as bad i have more control over it ...I hope my story helped you <3 and I hope and pray everything turns out okay <3

Maybe he just needed to hear some reassurance.
Maybe what he is going to tell you this weekend has nothing to do with breaking up with you! Let's not jump to conclusions. And, as the others have said, make sure you always have other people, activities, in place, in addition to this relationship or any other boyfriends you have in the future.
