Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Your priority now should be experiencing life and learning who you are and what you want out of life. When you reach that self-awareness, you will be ready to find your mate, and you will!
If we don't change how we are, fix what needs fixing within our personality and emotions, then yes we will continue to act in the same old dysfunctional patterns. This attracts people who do not add value to our lives. You are afraid to date and attract more people who are not good partners. This is wisdom actually. Take this time now to do your work and figure out how life is and your career and your own interests and rebuild who you are.
Counseling could be helpful in figuring out why this pattern of heartbreak is something within your life. Some people can read self help books and start to figure it out. You are young and I admire you for seeking better for yourself at this point in your life. Better now than at age 81. I might suggest you try reading The New Codependency and doing the exercises at the end of each chapter. See what you think.
