Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I did tell him that I enjoyed seeing him, but that I really was not looking for anything immediately that type of serious, if ever. And, in fact, I had raised my child and was not planning on another family in that way at this point in my life. Basically after that, he appeared to lose interest pretty quick.
He was a widower, he was looking for a replacement mom for his daughter.
I was not interested in the job.
Thanks...
too busy working 12 hours a day to support myself and get ahead to even watch Oprah...sigh...
I know that single parents need to walk a fine line. They don't want to waste any precious time or emotional energy getting involved with anyone who doesn't really want to be seriously involved with someone who has kids. But at the same time, the guy needs to realize that he all but asked nicksmom to be his kid's mom, and that's a little too much on the third date.
There obviously needs to be a discussion about that kind of thing when two adults are dating, but I don't think it should take place until much later in the relationship (such that it is).
