Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
It’s been about 3 full weeks now since I broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years, a little background, she had emotionally cheated on me planning on leaving me for another guy but changing her mind last second back in October, saying that I wasn’t the size or build she liked or that I just was too clingy and not ambitious, making up all these reasons as to why she did what she did. I tried to forgive her and give her another chance and it seemed okay until I found that she had still been texting him, she went up to him and wanted to be friends with him (this happened Christmas Day) and she hid talking to him from me until January 25th. We had a serious fight when I found out she was talking to him and she said “it shouldn’t be a problem if I just want to be friends with him” I took serious issue and left her house that night, the next day she ended up following him on IG and friends on FB and I gave her an ultimatum to cut all ties with him or the relationship is over. She said “I’m not going to block him cause he’s just a number on a social media page” I ended it after she said that.
the days after that she acted very aggressively towards me almost blaming me and just hating my guts is what it seemed like, we had a fight over the phone where she said “Lewis(guy she cheated with) was a better guy then you will ever be” ironically enough I got into a car accident later that night after the fight and she seemed concerned only for about 2 hours. we barely had any conversations after until Valentine’s Day where she asked me if we would have dinner and I said no, and she blew up on me again, haven’t heard from her since.
but I’m struggling with the loneliness and the feeling I won’t find anyone else, she was my first girlfriend and we met when we were in college, never had luck before that and even using dating apps I never get any swipes.
Its also hard because I don’t hate her and still want to talk to her I just know that I can’t be in a relationship with her or marry her, she was an essential part of my day, every day for the past 4 years. It’s just hard not having anyone to talk too, and to be honest she was really my only friend after our first year of dating cause we spent 24/7 together. It’s a struggle to deal with this and it’s hard not being able to even find someone that will even give me a second look

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...

Looking to fill the void with someone else is only a bandaid to the problem.. learn what makes you happy again, and the right girl will show up without you even realizing it.. nothing is more attractive to a woman then a man who has ambition and goals.. you have time now to do what you've always wanted.. so do some solid self care, and go for it : )
Keep getting out there, talk to other people, get out and socialize. The right girl will come along when it's meant to be. For now, concentrate on socializing, making friends, etc. Have to get outside and put effort into it, but it will be worth it.
