Should I continue to move out.

In 2019 I was involved in a motorcycle accident I was in a coma for 15 days How to learn how to talk walk feed myself and clean myself all over again. Me my wife have been together for a total of 26 years 16 years being married we have 2 teenage daughters one is about to be 18 my youngest is 15. I was told by many doctors that I need to be on drugs due to my injuries surgeries etc And a strong believer in not taking pain pills an psych meds because I looked into a lot of things years before and don't want to go that direction. And currently experiencing severe depression And at times confusion frustration My  Oldest daughter felt that it would be OK to allow her boyfriend to be in our home when I was still on the Walker being released from the hospital at the time I also was told by my wife while I was just released that our house was robbed because my oldest daughter had allowed some boys over to my home. I love my daughters an always felt strongly about the direction an choices that they make.That being said I don't known if I should just let my wife go and move on!!!! I love my wife and my girls do we have a history yes Great and Bad im so I'm 42 she's 41 I really feel she doesn't love me anymore I've always wanted the best for my family always and worked my ass off to give and provide them with things and beliefs I never got when we we're growing up!!

Doesn't wife see an issue with the daughter's boyfriend? I wouldn't be ok with that at all. I really not seeing in post why you feel its best to leave. I would sit and talk to your wife for sure. Also sometimes medications are needed. Maybe because of how your feeling it's hard to manage a marriage with all you been through with the accident.

Thank you for for your response @serenityspeaks. Ok my wife feels that when we we're young I would do things like that too! I disagree ! Ok this is what happened was just released from the hospital to home went to my daughter's room knocked on the door realized my daughter is is half nude and this guy (kid) was next to her! Long Story Short law enforcement came guns were drawn at me telling me to drop my weapon didn't realize my daughter was telling them I was armed I was telling them please go in my house IM NOT THE BAD GUY but they were at distance and I really couldn't walk to them!! I've basically made it clear to my daughter and my wife I don't agree with this kids actions at all!! So I feel its really put a divide between me and my wife

The sad thing here is that it is hard to discipline grown up kids because they think they know better than you. The husband and wife should be on the same page for discipline to work. Like many other families I know, her life lessons will come from experience and the consequences of her choices. It is hard to hear but this is how life often turns out. I would consider going to a nearby church and talking to the pastor. This is not a crazy idea as some people might think. They have given me great advice over the years. I hope that things will get better.

Thanks I've tried to express to my wife that we should go back to our church and speak with pastor! Which we have a fairly good relationship with. She told me that I need to work on my self right now!! And actions speak louder than words which I agree with So my daughter turned 18 on the 25th so I decided to buy her a new car! Even though I really had a hard time with that but I figured let me try to help with a great positive outlook on a very special day!! Long Story Short My girls have left with my wife and I'm dealing with a mindset I really wouldn't wish on anyone! Thanks for the comments

Don't really due alot of this been almost a month since I last posted. Well my wife is enjoying being at a cabin in the mountains with our daughters and (her) family I got so much on my plate and really trying to stay positive!!! But really.......why should I continue to live like this I've done so much as a Dad/Farther /Huband and my wife and girls are having a great time without me maybe I should really make sure its permanent! I digress not used to all this depression Never expected my wife to leave But I want her to be happy even if I'm not with her anymore.

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
