I am no where near ready. I joined a dating site. I have met some nice people but just agreeing to see them felt like cheating. How sad is that!

Loaded question, it depends on where you are emotionally....if you are good emotionally then it can be great with little after effects, if you are still emotionally connected then the aftermath could be a disaster and really mess with your head......My co-worker went out, hooked up with a lady and when things turned physical his equipment didn't work....he said to much emotional baggage......

if you can disconnect from the emotional and just go for the physical..........

I had crazy sex all weekend, it was great, but i have been seperated for awhile, right after a break up i would say it's not a good idea, even if it does help with the pain, every situation is diff to each his/her own..................

Unlike the majority, I think you can have sex just to have sex. Because we are evolved and sentient beings we can't revert back to our animal instincts?

OK, here are my two cents, well, more like here is my 25 cents.

If you can separate the emotion from the physical act 100%, then go fuck your brains out. However, you need to be sure that your partner is on the same page.

Once the act is done, you may feel good about yourself, or you may start remembering what sex was like with your ex. If that is the case, you were not able to separate the act from the emotion completely, and you are not quite ready to do so.

If however, you were like "hell yeah that was fun" then you can continue having no strings attached sex if you so choose.

Some may think this is cheating, but I do not if the relationship is completely over and there is no chance of reconciliation. However, if you are working on your marriage, DO NOT DO IT.

It can definitely distract you from the pain and stress for awhile, but it's not a long term solution. I did not even look for someone else until after she filed the papers, even though she had already been with several guys. But afterward I was so mad at her and I didn't want to feel like a looser sitting at home on a Friday night crying about her, knowing that she was in someone elses arms, or that someone else was sleeping in my bed. I hooked up with a friend from work who had been hitting on me when she found out I was getting divorced. It distracted me for a month or so, I guess the feeling of being with someone new, but it didn't make me feel better in the long run. I actually got tired of haveing sex, I just didn't feel the same without the love in it. Needless to say that friend didn't stick around when I kept turning her down. *Sigh*

Alot of guys will run out and try to nail anything out there after being dumped by their spouse. In almost all cases it is a complete ego thing. There are alot of negative consequences to doing this, to you, a third party and your relationship with your STBX. The relationship if found out could be used against you by your stbx. Given that you have children, you probably want to keep things between you and your stbx as civil as possible. It could destroy any possibility of a reconciliation in the future. Given the tone of your posts over the last little while, it sounds like your still reeling from the separation. I would tread with caution if I were you.

I have been in divorce warp for over 4 years.I did try a relationship after I seperated.Stbx is trying to use that against me in divorce. It didn't make me feel better....and I'm not even interested at this point.I'm working extremely hard at putting myself together.
It would be nice to have sex with a real person someday *sigh again*

Hey we are all adults. We have needs.
I think that alot of our values that we carry where inpressed upopn us byu someone else.
IE religon parents so on and so forth.
Sex is fun and good. Why else would god have make us this way.
SO go have some safe fun with a unmarried partner that is willing.
