Severely suffering from a recent breakup
I am currently on day four of my break up with my girlfriend of three years. We've been friends for over seven years. We have broken up countless times before, but this one feels like it might be permanent. I have cried and continue to cry every single day. I can't control my emotions or my thoughts. I'm still in a state of denial, hoping that I will wake up from this horrible dream and be reunited with my person. I am having trouble sleeping, eating or even focusing. There are times when I wanr company and other times I just want to curl up into a ball and cry until there are no more tears left. I've complemented several times about reaching out to her, but I know in my heart it's not a good idea. But I miss her so much. I haven't been without her in seven years. So many memories, experiences, conversations and challenges. I can't help but to think about where we went wrong and how we can fix it. But I know all of my focus needs to be on healing, but how? How do I stop thinking about someone I've spent so much time with? Someone I talked to everyday, all day. I am open to any advice or listening ear. I just really need help

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter. I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change. Now this! I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000. I guess I have to pay...
Do you have any other friends or family or people you can talk to right now? It helps to have distractions, and to talk and vent on the phone with people you know.
Crying and feeling bad is normal right now. You will feel better, it takes some time though.
Do you have school, a job, some place to go each day? Any kind of distraction and keeping yourself busy will help you get through this. Taking a walk outside helps a lot. Exercising helps get out the bad chemicals in our bodies during this stressful time. Make sure to eat healthy foods, stay hydrated, sleep as much as you can. Try to keep a normal daily schedule.
Don't try to contact her. Take some time now just for You, and the things you want to do. Do self care. You are going to be okay.
This isn’t my first time breaking up with someone, but it is my first time breaking up with someone I’m deeply in love with. It just wasn’t working, no matter how much we wanted it to. But I am hopeful that we can be friends down the line.
