I only medicated when the pain was too much to tolerate. Otherwise, the run of the mill agony, I tolerated.

My exsociopath self-medicated with everything from beers to coke, racing bikes and slutty girls, beating up strangers, compulsive shopping, defrauding people out of money, who knows what else.

I figured the least I could do to feel morally superior was take the high DRY road.
