Finish what? Life? Is there a universal standard and ranking system I don't know about?
It's useless saying, and women answer it both ways based on their mood.
when you eliminate the drawbacks from both the nice guy/bad boy stereotypes I think what you end up with is the good guy. That's what I strive for anyway - not passive, not aggressive, but assertive.
the bad guy: not loyal, lies confidently, usually overly flattering towards you, arrogant, late to meet you, disrespectful towards women, does not answer/return calls or texts....i could keep going, by describing my ex... arrogance is a big tip off, though. Stay away. Stay far, far away....
I did NOT want to marry the bad guy, even at age 19....
I thought my ex was a nice guy. He is to many but, he does come with a warning...he calls it his 'dark side'....*shudders*....but, when he courted me he was the true definition of the Souther gent. Soft spoken, kind, loved me like no other...so I thought. After conquering, he took off his facade and he became the evil man. Meh....now, we just say hello once n a blue moon when he remembers to call mancub.
the sex was great, though. That may have clouded my judgment.
I seen your posts and I have to agree. I am a nice guy and I will always be a nice guy. I have been hurt many times and that is all a part of dating. My thoughts on this topic are this.
Nice guys usually finish last and that is a true statement. It seems that most women want the chase. The bad boy comes in chases, gets what he wants then dumps the girl for the next conquest. The good guy comes in and chases the girl, falls in love with her and she gets bored of him because he doesnt chase hard enough because he thinks everything is going great with said woman. The woman doesnt tell him anything at all then dumps the good guy because it's no longer what she wants.
That nice guy now has a bad taste in his mouth and meets another nice girl. She is hurt from another bad guy, yet the nice guy has a bad taste in his mouth from the last bad relationship and what do you know. The good girl now gets a nice guy that is mixed up not knowing where to turn.
WOMEN... If you don't want to get hurt, talk in a relationship... I think it is as simple as that and people get comfortable and stop talking and take others for granted. I have my days but like I said even though I am her because of a bad girl and a bad experience (Because she was treated bad from her last experience) That will not change me from being a nice guy to the next one because I can talk things out and am not afraid of love. I am afraid of the hurt and pain LOVE causes but I am not afraid of the LOVE at all...
