This kind of cracked me up and I had to share.
I am going to a divorce healing group sponsored by the Catholic Church. It's actually very good and not very religious. Totally focused on getting you through the process. Well, there's a seminarian that sits in on the meetings. He is very, very nice, thoughtful and wants to help.
The subject of annulments came up.
I was married at 18 and subsequently got divorced and had that marriage annulled. When I married for the 2nd time it was in a civil ceremony. When I told him about the first marriage he said I was really then only married once. When I told him that the 2nd was a civil ceremony he said that techinically I was just living in sin for 20 years. So.....I am not getting a divorce. I've never been married, lol! And since the first one was annulled, I've NEVER been
married.
Even though I am a lapsed Catholic, you have to love the reasoning and I sure as hell love the outcome!

Last year, I was sort of busy watching my marriage disintegrate, but I think I'll try again this year.
That's what you get for eyeballing a priest lustfully. It throws off your nabbing!
1. First marriage = to a gay man who freaked and left....marriage was not consummated.
2. Second = Married for 10 year and had two children and his demons took him away. Drugs and alcohol.
3. Third = Well, you know...
None were Church weddings. So, my children are considered "bastards" according to the Catholic wedding and I'm free to marry in a Church. Meh....
