So my Stbx and I talked about getting a divorce in March and him moving out then after my work schedule slows down. But tonight he asked me what time I wanted him to come over to take the kids to school tomorrow morning. Apparently he started renting a place January 1. Really? The last time we talked it was March. I know I shouldn't care but seriously?

I feel so bad for the kids. They were asking where did he go.... I'm actually glad I blurted out to my son that we were getting a divorce yesterday. Atleast it's not a shock he is going to his new place now...

Unfortunately it's just the beginning. Try to stay calm for your little ones. It's a confusing time for them and I made a ton of mistakes.

Well I just made him give me his new address. I think it's a fair question since he knows where I live and has full access to my house. I feel a little better. But still the lack of consideration is what upsets me - like didn't he think I might care and the kids may ask?

He's a douche bag and wanted a reaction from you on his dramatic move. I suggest you call his bluff and change the locks. Does he have to have unfettered access to your place? When my ex left I made her give me the damn keys. I told her she shows back up uninvited I'm calling the cops.

Well he did come at 5:30 this morning like I asked so I can go to work early and he can watch the kids and take them to school. When I saw him I told him that what he did was unfair and he should not withhold information like having rented a place. I tried to be calm as I can and he of course got defensive. I told him ultimately I don't care just be transparent since being shady like this makes it difficult to trust him. Hopefully I don't sound desperate!!

I'm horrified! I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000. I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.
